The Guide serves as a research and information tool for Elite Hunters. The information is provided by the Special Squads, who work in collaboration with the C-rank Hunters. The Researchers use their extensive knowledge to develop unstoppable technology, making it possible to create powerful ammunition for each race of vampire with the aim of exterminating them effectively. This tool makes it possible to list vampire species provisionally. When the research is complete, the Researchers will publish a work that is vital for the preservation of humanity and the Hunters: an encyclopaedia.
Researchers have put forward numerous theories and hypotheses about the vampire hierarchy. According to them, there is a dominant class, led by the powerful or noble vampires, and a dominated class made up of underlings.
