Every child dreams of one thing. . . . . . . . . . .
Being a Pokemon trainer. . . . . .
Some would say that it is all they dream of. . . . . . . .
But there is one who dreams a little differently. . . . . .
------------------Sunlight crept through the curtains as it began to light up the room. . . . .
Many clothing were scattered across the floor as one is. . . .
Many of the items that were situated on top of the dressers were miniscule things such as pokeballs and potions. . . . . .
The pictures hanging on the walls depict a little boy with black hair and brown eyes, smiling contently as Pokemon of varying types cuddle him. . . . .
Others so his parents are teaching how to throw pokeballs, but it fails. . . .
Just then, a sudden creaking could be heard as a bed position in the room began to creak and heave as the blanket covering whatever was asleep were then pulled out as the figure rises up and get out before heading downstairs. . . . . . .
Once they got to the kitchen, they sat at one of the chair around the table. . . . .
A woman who was cooking at the stove noticed the boy who had placed their head on the table.
Sara: Good Morning, sweetie! Did you slept well?
The boy groggily looks up.
Gareth: Hmm? Oh, Yeah. . . .slept okay ish. . . . .
The woman got closer to the boy before putting a hand on his cheek.
Sara: Oh, Gareth. . . .I know it's rather tough moving from Paldea to Unova. . . .but I know you'll get used to it.
Gareth sighs. . . .
Gareth: I know. . . .it's just we left everything at Paldea and now we have a new life here. . . . .
Sara went back to the stove preparing whatever she was cooking.
Then a man came into the kitchen aswell. . . . .
Erick: Alright! A new day! New life!
Gareth: Dad . . . could you not scream out loud. . . .
Erick: What's wrong, champ?
Sara put out a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon which Walter grabs.
Sara: Our little boy is just homesick.
Erick: Really?
Gareth: Kinda? It's kinda hard to explain. . .
Erick: What is there to explain? All you miss is the Paldea region. Here in Unova, you can finally find your purpose!
Gareth: And that is?
Erick: Being a Pokemon trainer, of course!
Gareth freezes before gulping down the food in his mouth as he puts his fork down.
Gareth: I-I don't want to he a trainer. . . .
Erick: W-What was that, son?
Even Sara was at a standstill.
Gareth: I don't want to be a trainer, Mom and Dad.
Erick: W-Why are you saying this, son!
Gareth: B-Because I want to help Pokemon! I do t want them to fight! I want to help and if this is my way to do it, then so be it!
Sara was shocked to hear her sons outburst but Erick had a completely different look. . . . . . . .one that showed understanding.l before smiling.
Erick: Okay. . . . Okay, if that's what you want to do.. . . . . I'll allow it.
Gareth: Really?!
Sara: Are you serious, honey?!
Erick: Of course! I have noticed your desire to help others for a while, son.
Sara: If. . . .that is what's best for our son's future. . . .then I'll allow it too!
Gareth: M-Mom!
Erick: Though we will have to go over to the Professor to tell them about your plan since you won't be a trainer.
Gareth looks down while eating his food with a smile.
Gareth: Alright.
Sara: Oh! Maybe if their convinced enough, you'll be able to get funded for your own little building!
Gareth: My own building?
Erick: Darling, what do you mean by that?
Sara: Well I've heard that in other occupations outside of trainer duties, they can be well off with construction fees for appropriate jobs like breeders and nurses, though I do t really know about the whole "Caretaker" side.
Gareth: Okay, well he they'll hear me out, then that's fine.
Gareth gives out a smile as Erick sees this small glowing light surrounding Gareth's "heart".
