Chapter 23

They saw Isla sitting there watching the Television.

There seem to be a daily soap telecasting on repeat.

They sat beside her and Oliver asked. 'Mom what are you watching? You like this show.'

Isla nodded excitedly turning to him and said 'Its good. The family is so funny. They make me laugh the whole time I watch them. Seriously they are the best.'

Then she turned her face to screen again snd continued watching it happily.

As they continued bickering in the show she laughed at their dialogue.

Just then they saw one family member scolding his child. Child friends who were hiding pulled family member's pant down as they played prank on him and laughed. The family member ran after them to beat them but they ran away before he could catch them.

Seeing this Isla laughed and Oliver and Rylee laughed silently remembering the time they pulled this prank on their teacher.

At 8:30 pm o'clock present time.

Ethan said 'Mom.'

Everyone turned their gaze to him and looked at him.

They saw his hand bandaged. Isla stood up hurridely and ran to him. 'W w what h h happened to your hand?' she hold his hand gently and looked at him upsetly.

Ethan said 'Nothing mom. I did this myself. The wall in the room is cracked. Can you call someone tomorrow to fix it.'

Isla nodded and said 'Why did you do this? Is something wrong? You can tell me dear. Do you think its okay to do this? You don't care about us right. You are always like this. When are you going to understand we too feel pain when you guys are hurt but no you have to do your own thing.' Her tears flowed silently.

Ethan shook his head 'No mom. Don't cry. I am sorry. I was being reckless. I ll not do something like this again. I am really sorry for hurting you.' He hugged her comfortingly.

Isla stopped crying after some time.

She felt light after clearing her mind.

Isla nodded and warned him 'Don't do this again? Where is Kevin, dear?'

Ethan said 'V just slept.'

Isla nodded and said 'Then be good and remember to see a doctor tomorrow.'

Ethan nodded and Isla went to watch her program again.

Oliver and Rylee went to him and pulled him in Oliver's room.

Oliver closed his door and asked 'Just what the hell happened? Why are you injured? Kevin is okay right.'

Ethan nodded and answered his every question 'Nothing. Was angry and Kevin is okay.'

Rylee said 'Then you just hurt your hand because you were angry. Ridiculous. Why were you angry big brother? Tell us the reason.'

Ethan looked at him and said 'V refused to answer my one question.'

Rylee rolled his eyes at him 'What was the question big brother? Tell us the whole story. Don't you leave a word behind.'

Ethan sat on Oliver's bed and they followed.

He sighed and told them the whole story.

Oliver and Rylee were shocked.

Atlast Ethan said 'V loves me guys. My V has always loved me.' His eyes were filled with happiness and mirth which he didn't notice.

But Oliver and Rylee noticed it and Oliver said 'You guys are seriously.' he paused 'What do I say? I am at a loss of words.' He hit Ethan's head in anger.

Rylee said 'Big brother didn't I ask you to take it slow and consider brother feelings. Why do you have to be so difficult? You even hurt yourself. Do you think brother will ever be able to come out of this guilt?'

Ethan said 'V would not feel guilty. I ll make sure of it. Its just when he refused to say anything I just lost my temper and hurt myself. He has always answered my question. When he didn't I just snapped.'

Rylee sighed and said 'Let bygones be bygones. But big brother who was the girl that was with you today? Have you seen her before. I don't know but I don't get a good vibe from her.'

Ethan pondered whether he has seen that girl but he doesn't even remember her face. 'I don't know.  I don't remember seeing her before.'

Oliver asked 'What was she talking to you about? Maybe there is clue.'

Ethan shook his head and said 'I didn't listen to her. She said she has something to tell me, that its important and if I won't listen to her I ll regret it, she started crying and held my t-shirt which angered me and I left from there as you have seen.'

Oliver nodded 'There is something fishy. I can't pinpoint what is it but it is not good.'

Rylee sighed 'Lets leave it for now. We ll probe about it later. Big brother I think you should go to brother he should be up by now.'

Then everyone in the room looked at a clock.

It showed it was 9:20 pm o'clock.

Ethan left to his room and Oliver and Rylee remained in their room.

At Kevin side as he slowly opened his eyes he saught for Ethan's figure but he didn't see him.

Kevin jerked up and sat there startled thinking was everything a dream. He was dreaming about his confession. No its not true. Where is An? I want to see him.

He climbed down from bed, wore his sleepers and made his way to the door.

As he reached the handle it opened from outside, he got aside and saw Ethan entering the room and hugged him immediately.

Ethan was shocked to see his messed up look and hugged him back.

Kevin's hair were tousled and his eyes were slightly swollen.

Kevin said pouting 'It was a reality An. I didn't dream about it right. You heared me right. I confessed.'

Ethan seeing him being so cute couldn't stop himself from teasing him 'What are you talking about V? Its a reality but what you said? What I heared? And what did you confess? Did you do something wrong and hide it from me?'

Kevin was shocked at his answer and hugged him tightly 'Didn't I confess I love you. You also hurt yourself because of me. I am sorry An. Please tell me I wasn't dreaming.' and he started sobbing at last.

Ethan stopped teasing him seeing his condition and said patting his back 'Okay okay stop it V. It was not a dream I heared everything you said. I remember everything that happened here so stop being sad and sit with me.'
