How to judge your competition?

First of all ... let's be honest for a moment!

A sticker, a shout out and the bragging right are NOT as important as a deeply honest feedback that makes you stop and think 'Huh! Did not see that coming! You are absolutely right! I have to fix that! Thank you for pointing it out!'

Yes, it is nice to receive positive and encouraging feedback, but sometimes constructive feedback can push our believes and make us see our beloved work from a different non-subjective perspective.

Shape your feedback in order to HELP your colleagues and NOT bring them down!

[IMPORTANT] If you have overall feedback which is more negative than positive, consider sending it in private. Posting it publicly can damage further readers from that writer, challenging their own opinions about the book. We do this out of love and respect for others, in the hopes to help them grow, but sometimes our critiques may come across as being too MEAN-SPIRITED!

Consider:

🌟A. Grammar : even if English is not someone's first language, this it'is NOT an excuse to cut someone some slack

(it is not mine either and I accept any feedback - I will grow because of it)

🌟B. World building - do you feel part of the world? Does it transport you there?

🌟C. Character Development - is the main character well flesh-out? How about the secondary characters? How are the dialog and the relationships between characters?

🌟D. Plot - are you intrigued by the story, are you engaged? Can't wait to turn the page and see what it is going to happen?

🌟E. Overal feeling - what do you think until now? Will you read this book outside the awards? What can you say in particular about the author and the story?

After you judge the other entries in your category ... create a top 5(1 being the best) and send it to me in a private DM. I will make the average and post the final top.
