Part 6

it had been awhile since the 2 demon's last meet-up about Husk's attire for the re-opening party, which had snuck up on them and was now 2 weeks away.

It was around 11:00 when Angel came downstairs from his room, passing the bar has he headed for the door.
"And where are you going?" Husk chimed in before Angel could reach the front door.
"'Emergency shoot, same as 'always." He replied, turning his head slightly to show Husk he acknowledged his presence, then reached for the door handle.
"No drink before you go?" Husk said, putting down a glass he was cleaning. "usual?" He continued, while turning around to grab a bottle to start making Angel's favourite drink.
"Not tonight." Angel said, hurridly getting out and slamming the door behind him without another word.
Husk's wings drooped at his reaction.

~ Time Skip ~

After awhile, Husk convinced himself that Angel had just been annoyed- thats all. But he still couldnt fully shake the feeling of something being wrong, so he drank himself into a slumber.

Husk woke up to the sound of the front door opening and slamming, accompanied by some swearing from a familiar voice. He grogily got up from behind the counter to see Angel in the foyer, wrapping his coat tightly around himself. Once Angel noticed Husk, he tensed up but quickly sighed, looking slightly less annoyed than earlier that night. Angel started walking over to the bar, taking his coat off and letting it rest loosely on his lower set of arms.

"Aww, 'did someone stay up all night to see me~?" Angel teased, in a childish voice. "Oh, you know I don't sleep anywhere else!" Husk says defensively.
"Somethin' strong, if you can stay awake." Angel said.
Husk started grumbling then prepared his drink.

Angel took his drink and guzzled it down quickly, and passed the glass back for a refill, and Husk quickly did so.
"Soo.." Angel started, dragging his glass closer to himself. "I was thinkin' I could show 'ya your outfit again so far..."
Husk visibly perked up, then coughed as if his tail didn't just wag. Thank god Angel didn't see that. "Sure" Husk replied, nonchalantly.

Angel got up and started walking to his room, then turned slightly to give Husk the 'follow me' finger.
Husk get out from behind the bar and followed him closely.

WRITTER NOTE: :sorry this chapter was kinda boring, but its tryna set up the next few chapters angst nicely 😽😽😽 anyways ill try to work on this as much as i can but school sucks anyways bye ily guys 👹also i hope my doodle skiil s got better lmao
