- Max's grandparents were from Sicily. They themselves were born in Boston's Little Italy and spent the first nine years of their life there. They moved to Culmont, Wisconsin with their mom Delfina after their dad died from lung cancer.

- Max learned both English and Italian at the same time, so they're equally fluent in both languages.

- Since their dad's death, Max has always wanted to make their mom proud. This resulted in them pushing themselves at school and eventually developing social anxiety, which also had to do with bullying from their classmates in middle school. This made them a people pleaser until they started going to therapy and got some of their confidence back. They still love making people happy.

- They have a chubby build. This is one of the reasons why they were bullied. It's also caused them gender dysphoria, but they've learned to ignore it.

- After the outbreak started, Max was on their own for a couple months before arriving at the high school Lawrence and the others were hiding in.

- Max wants to start a family at some point. They've half joked that they want to conceive their first child with Sleep Token playing in the background.

- They were raised agnostic, so the idea of religious trauma baffles them. This has resulted in them not liking Christians because the majority that they've heard about were awful people. They've also never seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame. But after Judy showed them The Prince of Egypt, they became a huge fan of the movie and the soundtrack.

- Before the outbreak, Max was an adrenaline junkie and liked doing risky things, like leaning out of their bedroom window and climbing very high structures. They also loved going into the mosh pit at metal concerts their mother sometimes took them to.

- They have two piercings in each ear. They also have both a septum and nostril piercing.

- Max can play the electric guitar pretty well. They also have a good singing voice and can rap surprisingly well, too.

- From a young age, their mom taught them how to cook, and they got really good at it. Due to this, they ended up working in the Safe Zone kitchens.

- When it comes to personal style, Max loves jeans, flannels, and leather jackets. They also have a bunch of band shirts and spikey jewelry, and they always wore dark makeup to school. They also shaved their eyebrows before the outbreak, but they allowed them to start growing back afterwards.

- At first, Max liked Lawrence because he seemed protective and a good leader. But the more they got to know him, the more uncomfortable they felt around him. Eventually, after Sue went missing, they decided to run away to the Safe Zone after being told by Sue that all the disappearances seemed to be connected to them. They didn't expect Eugene to discover them before they left and insist on coming with them.

- They're a huge fan of classic horror novels, and their favorite is Frankenstein. They also love horror movies, which they would often watch with their mom. Ironically, they would also watch zombie movies with their dad before he died. Their favorite horror movie is Jennifer's Body.

- Max was part of the filmmaking club in high school and hoped to get a scholarship to the film school of their dreams. Their dream career is still to be a film director for horror and thriller movies. Their ultimate dream in life is to win an Oscar.

- One time, Scarlett was picking another fight with Max, and it turned into a shouting match. It got so bad that Max snapped and threw a chair at her when Scarlett insulted their mother. It hit her in the head and knocked her out for a couple hours. Since Scarlett refused to apologize for instigating the fight, Max didn't apologize, either.

- They're obsessed with the works of Junji Ito.

- When they first started hiding out in the high school, Max got into a few fights with Jay because of how often he misgendered them. Eventually, some of the others backed them up, and he was forced to stop.

- In peaceful times, Max had a Siamese cat they named Nyx.

- Normally, Max is sweet, helpful, and agreeable when it comes to their friends, but they can be sassy when they want to. They're also fiercely protective over those they love. And they won't hesitate to slap a bitch if it's needed.

- They often get chapped lips during cold weather. This results in them developing a habit of picking at their lips.

- Max is absolutely terrified of Lawrence, but they won't hesitate to stand up to him if he threatens people they care about.

- They're obsessed with cooking shows. Their favorite is Hell's Kitchen because they love laughing at all the drama.

- When Max met an 11-year-old boy named North Paulson on the way to the Safe Zone, they immediately became attached to him. Eventually, they became a sort of a second mother figure to him - after his own mother, of course. They also met up with Bluma and Cozette, Judy's younger twin sisters, whom Max swore to look after. They've essentially adopted the two girls as their own sisters.

- Max started working out with their mom in their junior year of high school. They ended up becoming really strong and fast.

- When Max was kidnapped by Lawrence, Lawrence was about to cut off their legs so they would be forced to rely on him when help arrived and Max was saved.

- A few months after Max entered the Safe Zone, they and Eugene were helping a couple soldiers patrol the outer perimeter when Max came across her already infected mother. Max had no choice to kill her, and they were in a depression funk for a couple of weeks. They even thought about ending their own life. Luckily, Eugene and Harry pulled them out of their funk. At the end of the day, Max is just glad that Delfina was put out of her misery.

- One time, Max decided to organize a concert in the Safe Zone to try and cheer up the residents. While looking for instruments, they found an electric guitar, along with an amp, that they decided to keep.

- Nearly ten months after the outbreak, Max's maternal Nonna and Nonno in Boston are able to contact them, so Max takes Eugene and his father with them to move in with them.
