Ethan

- Ethan's parents are from Japan, and Japanese is his first language. Ever since he was young, he and his family went to Japan every summer to visit extended family.

- He's the oldest of seven siblings. He learned to help take care of them from a young age, so he's good with kids.

- Ethan has high-functioning autism, but he wasn't diagnosed until he was 12. He was part of the special ed program in high school due to this. Baseball and its history is his special interest. The reason he's so quiet is partially because he goes nonverbal when he gets anxious.

- He's very loyal and protective.

- Out of himself and his friends, he had one of the happiest childhoods, aside from Judy and Sue.

- His nickname is bobhead, because when he's about to fall asleep, his head bobs up and down.

- Before Lawrence blew up the school, Ethan considered him his best friend. He was the one who found him having a mental breakdown, and he got emotional. Lawrence responded to this by laughing and calling Ethan a "bumbling fucking imbecile." He then spilled everything he had done to Ethan, and Ethan went to warn the others so they could escape.

- When Ethan arrived at the Safe Zone, he found out that his father was dead and only two out of his six siblings had survived. Of course, he was crushed, but he's glad that at least some of his family made it. Now, he's just trying to keep his family together.

- Clothing wise, Ethan really just doesn't care as long as it's practical. He's very casual with his style choices to the point where he's been teased for "having no style."

- Apart from baseball, Ethan also ran track. He was also into hockey as a middle schooler, but his parents made him quit after the puck hit him in the head during a game, resulting in a concussion. He also worked out a lot at the gym with his father and one of his younger brothers.

- He dyes streaks of his hair dark blue.

- His favorite meal is steak and eggs, but he won't pass up a good baked ziti.

- Like Harry, Ethan is known for being patient. He also has a lot of empathy for those around him, and he wants to trust other survivors whenever he can. He doesn't like getting emotional around other people because he wants to set an example by staying strong.

- Secretly, Ethan is afraid of the dark.

- Ethan is a teen dad: when he was 16, he accidentally got his then girlfriend, Doreen, pregnant. She decided to keep the baby, and even though they broke up, Ethan is still very devoted to his son, Kodiak. Unfortunately, Doreen didn't make it to the Safe Zone, but a soldier found two-year-old Kodiak and took him into the Safe Zone, where Ethan's family were ready to take care of him.

- Due to looking after his younger siblings a lot during peaceful times, Ethan is a pretty good cook. He even ended up taking a babysitting job to earn extra money (at least until he had Kodiak).

- He has a lot of issues with his left wrist due to an old injury, so he wears a wrist brace.

- One of Ethan's biggest traits is sleepiness. Sometimes, he'll fall asleep standing up. He also had a habit of falling asleep in class, resulting in not the best grades. He always managed to scrape by, though.

- His favorite TV show as a kid was Wild Kratts. Because of this, he has a soft spot for small animals, especially dogs. In peaceful times, he and his family had a pet golden retriever.

- Ethan had really bad acne when he was in middle school. He managed to keep it under control for a while, but after the outbreak started, it started getting worse again because he wasn't able to treat it.

- He's always been comfortable with his sexuality. Before the outbreak, he even had a couple flings with some of his baseball teammates.
