A bored look crossed the brunet's face as he listened to the teacher droning on the history of kings and queens. History wasn't for Jake. Infact, he didn't even want to be in the class right now ― for, the love of his life was having a match today.

His situationship with the ace of the basketball team wasn't news to anyone, even the teachers knew about it. Everyone knew they liked eachother. And rooted for the couple. But the couple themselves had no courage whatsoever to admit it to eachothers faces, although both of them were certain about their feelings.

The class ended mere few minutes before the game started. With the sound of the bell, he got ready to rush out of the room. And as the teacher kept his foot out of the class, Jake dashed out in the direction of the gym.

Meanwhile, the ace was having a tough time controlling his anger around his rival. The said boy tried to anger Heeseung even more as he mocked him.

Sure, his layups were not really good today, but he could dribble better than anyone else.

“Heeseung!” The familiar cheerful tone broke the silver haired out of his thoughts. He looked up and smiled at Jake.

“Hey. You're here. I thought you wouldn't be here.” A big smile made its way onto Heeseung's face, Jake reciprocating his expression.

“Pssh! You think I won't come to watch you play? When have you ever played a match without me watching it?” Jake stated, confidently.

Heeseung let out a chuckle. “Right. Lee Heeseung cannot just play without his Sim Jake watching him.” And he winked. The gesture caught the aussie boy off-guard, making him blush at it. Pride filled Heeseung's chest watching the younger blush.

“The match is starting in a few. I want to see you in the first row, cheering for m ―” A hand on his shoulder cut off Heeseung mid sentence. Knowing who it was, the boy patted Jake's shoulder and asked him to go sit at the benches and turned around to face his rival staring at him with a huge smirk.

“I don't think you want your nose broken right before the match, Minwoo.”

Minwoo laughed. “If you hit me, you'll be disqualified. You do know the consequences of ―”

“― And I could care less. The way you stare at him makes me want to scoop out your eyeballs. Punching you is the bare minimum I can do.” Heeseung's voice turned cold. There was cold fury in his eyes.

“I have the equal rights of staring at him, like you do. You don't own him.” Minwoo was getting red in the face.

“Yes, I do.” Heeseung smirked coldly.

“I’ve a nice proposal for you.” Now this intrigued Heeseung. With a curious expression on his face, he asked, “I don’t exactly trust you, but what is it?”

The rival paused for a few seconds, examining Heeseung’s expressions. Then he said, with a smirk, “On the occasion of this important match between our teams ― why don’t we have a bet?”

The ace chuckled. “What’s the prize?”

“Sim Jake.”

Heeseung’s smirk faltered. “The fuck? What do you even mean by that!”

“The one who wins today ― gets to kiss Sim Jake. Bet?”

“I’m never betting on someone I so deeply care about. Stop crossing your limits, Park Minwoo.”

Minwoo laughed, almost evilly. “What a coward.”

Heeseung gritted his teeth. “I’m not! Fine, let’s bet!”
