In the Kievan Rus of the world, was Limart, Limart was the sort of place for which the globe moved forward. While the rest of the world was backward, Limart was a little bit modern for the taste. With its tall buildings and efficient transportation systems, it was a haven for those who craved progress and change.

The city was a melting pot of cultures and races, with an unusual blend of people from all corners of the world. The streets were alive with the vibrant colors and sounds of different languages and customs, creating a cacophony of diversity that somehow harmonized into a symphony of humanity.

It was here, in this bustling metropolis, that a young man named Bastien lived here with his father, Duke Richard Bayford and his wife, Lady Maria Bayford had made their home.

Bastien had spent most of his life in Limart, growing up amidst the fast-paced and ever-changing environment. His parents were prominent figures in the city, with his father holding a seat on the council and his mother known for her philanthropic efforts.

Despite their status, Bastien's parents had always instilled in him the importance of humility and hard work. They made sure he was well-educated and exposed to different cultures and ideas.

As he grew older, Bastien became more curious about the world beyond Limart. He would often spend hours in the grand Library in Limart pouring over books and maps of far-off lands.

His parents were supportive of his thirst for knowledge and encouraged him to explore his interests. They even hired a tutor who was well-versed in languages and history to help broaden Bastien's understanding of the world.

Bastien's favorite pastime was reading about the different kingdoms and empires that existed outside of Limart. He was particularly fascinated by their cultures, customs, and ways of life. His hunger for adventure and discovery was insatiable.

It wasn't long before Bastien began dreaming of traveling to these far-off places himself. He yearned to experience the sights, smells, and tastes that he had only read about in books.

But as much as he longed to venture beyond Limart, Bastien couldn't forget his duty to his family and their responsibilities within the city. Being the only son, he knew that one day he would have to take on a leadership role alongside his father.

Morning in Limart was peaceful and idyllic as Bastien woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside his window. The early morning sun was streaming through the curtains, casting a warm glow across his bedroom. He yawned and stretched, feeling refreshed after a restful night's sleep.

As he got ready for the day ahead, Bastien's thoughts turned to the city outside his window. He couldn't help but feel grateful for the peaceful and idyllic surroundings of his family's mansion.

The grand estate was nestled on the outskirts of Limart, surrounded by sprawling green fields and rolling hills. It was a stark contrast to the bustling city center with its tall buildings and crowded streets.

But today, Bastien had responsibilities to attend to in Limart. He dressed in his finest clothes and made his way downstairs, greeted by the warm hello of their butler, Mr. Jenkins.

"Good morning Bastien," Mr. Jenkins said with a smile as he handed him a cup of tea.

"Good morning Mr. Jenkins," Bastien replied with a nod of thanks. "What's on my schedule for today?"

"You have a meeting with your father and some members of the council at 10 o'clock," Mr.Jenkins answered.

Bastien sighed inwardly at the thought of another meeting filled with discussions about taxes and trade agreements. But he knew it was all part of his duty as an heir to one of Limart's most prominent families.

After breakfast, Bastien stepped outside into the crisp morning air and took in the picturesque scene before him. The soft grass beneath his feet, the chirping birds in the trees, and the gentle breeze blowing through his hair all added to the tranquility he felt.

As he walked towards Limart city center, Bastien passed by farmers tending to their land, merchants setting up their stalls for market day and children playing happily in front yards.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and gratefulness for the city he called home.

And so, at age twenty-one, Bastien set off on a journey that would change his life forever.
