Brandon-"So how are you going to tell her you guys won't be home for her birthday?"
Nick-"Come on Brandon don't make us feel any worse than we already are, besides that I won't even be home for my birthday either which is a day after hers". (sighs)
Matt-"Mom said we're going to celebrate early, don't worry dude". (pats his back)
Dana-"She's going to be devastated though, this will be the second time you guys miss her birthday, last year you guys were in New York remember?"
Matt-(sighs) "I know babe, I feel really bad she's the baby of the family".
Nick-"She's my little buddy I hate leaving". (tears up)
Dustin-"Hey we'll make sure she has the best birthday ever, your dad is planning a trip to Disney and invited us".
Dana-"I'll be there as well". (smiles)
Matt-"You guys are the best". (hugs them)
Joyce-(yells) "Guys dinner is done!"
They head downstairs from Nicks room they head into the kitchen and see Jessica and Malachi sitting at the table
Nick-"Mind if I sit here cutie?"
Jessica-"Nope!". (smiles)
Matt-"Hey I wanted to sit by her". (pouts)
Jessica-"Matty just steal DJs spot". (laughs)
DJ-"Go ahead I don't mind". (smiles)
They sit by Jessica and they eat dinner
Matthew-"So Jess how was swimming today?"
Jessica-"Good the water was cold though".
Malachi-"She's doing great though, when I picked her up the instructor said she swam under the water".
Matt-"Good job peanut". (kisses her head)
Dustin-"Should we tell her? (whispers to Joyce)
Joyce-"Hey Jess how do you feel about celebrating your and Nickys birthdays a little early?"
Jessica-"Why?"
Matt and Nick look at eachother then they look at Jessica
Nick-"Well Matty and I aren't going to be able to be home for your birthday or mine cutie".
Matt-"So we thought we could celebrate with you early".
Dana-"The day of your birthday though we're gonna have fun I promise".
Jessica-"Are you serious, you guys weren't here last year either!"
Matthew-"Hey watch the tone lil miss".
Jessica-"No daddy they are never home anymore!" (gets up and goes to her room)
Nick-"We should've waited till after dinner". (sighs)
Brandon-"Do you want one of us to go talk to her?"
Dustin-"I will".
Dustin gets up and goes to Jessicas room, he knocks on it and she lets him in, his heart breaks at the site of her crying
Jessica-"Do they not love me anymore Dustin, they always leave when it's my birthday?" (cries)
Dustin-(takes her into his arms) "Sweetie they love you very much, I think it hurts them more not being home then anything, I know it sucks that they won't be home on your actual birthday, but like Dana said we're gonna try to make it the best day ever for you, and we'll celebrate in a few days before Matty and Nicky have to leave".
