today, i am going out with Ryoko-san.
it feels like a date.
i am very nervous.
she told me to meet her at a café near the school entrance.
i walk there and eventually find the place.
i wait for a while.
i wait,
five
ten
twenty minutes.
the sun is about to set.
where is she?
this isn't like her to be late without no reason.
maybe i came early?
that's what i think until i see long, dark as night hair go into the alleyway.
without thinking, i start walking towards it, not even sure if it's her.
i walk,
i walk,
i walk until-
-!?
I suddenly smell a strong, disgusting, rotten stench that brings me back to reality.
wh-what the heck?
there she stood, in the darkness, her eyes glistening with no emotion, while holding a blood splattered knife.
though she looked a bit crazed, it was certainly still the same Ryoko-san i had befriended.
i stumbled back, surprised.
a flow of thoughts run through my head.
'who is this person?'
'is this really Ryoko Emi?'
'were some of the rumours actually...'
'True?'
she looked back with a slightly surprised face and nonchalantly said "ah, you're here."
"i forgot i was supposed to meet up with you." she said with a forced smile.
"well, now that you're here..."
"I guess I can't leave any evidence."
just then, she threw a rock at my eye, causing me to fall down from the sudden action.
as she stood there indifferently, looking down on me, her eyes had no mercy. they were completely different than the sweet eyes she used to look at me with.
even though she was about to take a swing at me, she was still as beautiful as ever.
