It feels like he was drowning. He can't breathe.
"No, I don't want to die yet! But who can hear him? He wants to shout but there's no voice coming out from his mouth.
" No!!!". he finally shouted while catching up his breath. His head and back are both aching, he touch his head and open his eyes slowly. There are medicinal leaves on his forehead. He look at his surrounding, the house was made of woods.
" Where is this place? Where am I?." avel said in a low voice and he heard a man's voice.
"I'm glad you're already awake." the man said while smiling and he's holding a tray of food.
" Who are you?". avel asked the man while holding tightly the blanket that was covering his body. He's only wearing an old pants and he has no shirts on. Who took off his clothes?
" It was me who remove your clothes and I'm the one who also put your pants. I didn't put a shirt on you because you have a wound in your back." charles said to avel.
" What?!." avel was stunned. He never let anyone kiss him and see his body even if he had sex encounters/one night stands before he didn't let them see his body, during sex he was covering their eyes, maybe it's weird, but he won't have sex if they don't like his rule and now this stranger in front of him saw his body.
"Don't worry, I covered my eyes with cloth as I don't want to touch someone's body without their permission. You were unconscious, I cannot get your permission so, I covered my eyes." charles said giving him an assurance that he didn't take advantaged of him.
Avel look at charles suspiciously.
"Don't be scared. I'm the one who saved you and I'm not a bad person." charles said again to avel while smiling. And by the way you can call me, charles." he said again while giving the bowl of porridge to him.
Avel get the bowl of porridge from charles hand.
" Thank you and you can call me, avel." he said and he started to eat the food.
" Avel..it means a breath." charles said in low voice that's why avel didn't hear him.
" Be careful of the porridge it's still hot and after that you can drink the medicine." charles.
Avel look at the broad shoulders of charles who's busy preparing and making his medicine made of medicinal leaves. He's quietly observing him. He has a semi long hair that was tied up. The man is quite handsome, actually.. no words can describe how good looking he is.
" Is the view nice?." charles asked avel and hand him the medicine while smiling.
"What?!." he said while smirking because he knows what he mean, that he's handsome that's why avel is staring at him.
"Of course, how can I not look in such a nice view?." avel said but he didn't know where did he get the courage to said that to charles.
They look at each other.They are grown up but they still blushed like a teenager.
" Ahem!." charles said while coughing as if he was really shy.
"The medicine is bitter but you must endure because it will help your wounds to heal faster." he said again.
Avel smiled at charles and give him a meaningful look.
" Hmmn, thank you charles." avel said to the man while smiling but charles face suddenly became serious while looking at him.
" Why are you looking at me like that?." avel said.
" Nothing..just..your tattoo. It looks good on you." charles said to avel then his face change emotions easily from serious to smiley.
Avel smirked and he laughed.
" Hahaha..are you serious?!
Charles nod his head.
" Fine, I believe you but where is this place by the way?." avel said.
He can hear the sounds of little waves.
" We're here in the island." charles said.
So, that was the reason why he can hear the sounds of water because they are in an island and he can feel the refreshing blows of the wind that you can only feel when you're living in the island.
"This is a remote island and a pirates hideout." charles said.
" What?! The pirates hideout?!" avel said while coughing, he almost choked on a mouthful of water.
"Hey, are you okay? What's wrong avel?." charles sad while worriedly holding the hands of avel.
But avel pushed his hands.
" I'm okay. So, you're also a member of a pirate's group?." avel said while looking at charles.
Avel hands are shaking as if he was scared of something.
Charles sit beside him in the bamboo bed.
'' You don't need worry as long as I'm here I'll protect you. I will not let you be danger." charles said sincerely while sitting beside him.
The worried expression of avel face changed into a glad feeling.
Can he really trust this man?
Yes, maybe because sometimes in difficult situation there's no harm in trusting someone when that someone was the one who actually saved you.
After how many days avel's wound finally healed.
" Let me walk you round. Every morning you need the sun exposure so your body will feel more relax."charles said and they walk along together in the seashore.
" This place is beautiful who would've thought that this is a pirates lair?". avel said and they sit together in a big round rock.
They said that this is a very beautiful place before and this island was owned by a wealthy man who gift this island to his beloved woman but those couple met their doomed here. They abused the woman while the husband is watching and couldn't do anything to protect his wife. They were also buried here together.
That was tragic but who could've done such an inhumane thing? Were they the group of charles?
" When foster and the hunter x members first came to this island this was already abandoned. So, they decided to own this place as their hideout."charles said as if he read what's on his mind.
" This is my favorite place here when I feel sad or thinking about something I'll just sit here and somehow my mind is at ease." charles said to avel.
He just learned that charles was fostered by leader marcus. He saved him and give him a new identity because he can't remember anything about his life. This man who sometimes looks cold, serious and funny and who is a member of a pirate group has his soft side, smiling to him and treated him really good. How hard it must be to him trying to remember something but you can't?
" Is there any way to go the to the city or in any neighboring area there?"avel asked charles.
" Nope, unless there's a chopper. This place is unknown to other people as if it never exist."charles said to avel.
" But what about your foster father? How can they do their work without a chopper?." avel asked him again.
"They don't use it because they have a pirate ships and they are doing their mission in the sea ,they don't have a reason to go to the city ."charles said while throwing little peebles in the water.
He feel sad.
"So I will be stuck here forever?." avel said to charles in a sad tone, he just lost his hope to get out from this island.
Charles look in the handsome face of avel and touch his face with his both hands.
"You don't need to worry coz I'll be with you and protect you no matter what happens."charles said and he hug avel and avel hug him back.
To avel there's no need to pretend because charles is the person he can only trust and rely on.
"I , myself..I've been longing to get out from this island too. I badly want to get back my memories and go back to where I belong but with you here by my side, I think it's not a bad idea to be stuck in this island."
charles said on his mind.
