This is just a wish
************************************
I wish I had a home where I'm loved and someone would worry about me.
I wish I had a home where there's love and the thought of family makes me smile.
I wish I had a home where Mom and Dad don't always have to fight and I have to watch.
I wish I had a home where Dad helps Mom in the kitchen and they smile together.
I wish I had a home where Dad doesn't make Mom feel like the worst woman on earth just because she doesn't meet the standard like other women.
I wish I had a home where we were taught to love each other like a family.
I wish I had a home where I was taught to celebrate someone's success and not compare.
I wish I had a home where I don't have to hate coming home each day.
I wish I had a home that taught me how to talk about my feelings and not hide them.
I wish I had a home where they know when I'm hurt and make me feel better rather than feed on my sadness.
I wish I had a home where I don't have to practice smiling because it comes naturally.
I wish I had a home where I was taught that crying doesn't mean you're weak.
I wish I had a home where a comment as simple as You're beautiful doesn't make me want to cry because I don't hear it often.
I wish I had a home where something as simple as a hug doesn't mean the world to me.
I wish I had a home where I was taught that you can make decisions for your life too.
I wish I had a home, I don't even have one, a house maybe, but not a home.
Where is that home?

I Wish I Had a Home
PoetryThis is just a painful feeling of a girl wishing she had a home and love to call hers. Somewhere she feels welcomed and loved and not rejection like she don't belong at all. A wish for a Home.
