I wish I had a home so true and pure.
I wish I had a home to go back to when I have no where else to go.
I wish I had a home where I was taught compassion.
I wish I had a home where speaking up wasn't considered talking back.
I wish I had a home where my dreams are supported not laughed at.
I wish I had a home where we said goodnight before going to bed.
I wish I had a home where marriage didn't feel like a bondage.
I wish I had a home where hurtful words didn't echo in my head at all times.
I wish I had a home that didn't blame me for their mistakes.
I wish I had a home that supports me.
I wish I had a home that sees taking risks in life as being brave and not foolish.
Is there a home like that? Perhaps somewhere.
I wish.

I Wish I Had a Home
PoetryThis is just a painful feeling of a girl wishing she had a home and love to call hers. Somewhere she feels welcomed and loved and not rejection like she don't belong at all. A wish for a Home.
