(3rd person POV)

Noah groaned, his hand going to his shoulder. The pain was bearable, he had been shot many times before so it didn't faze him. He opened his eyes, the monitor beeping along with his heartbeat.

"Where is Bella?" He rasps out. Liz jumps out of her sleep and her eyes dart around the room. They land on Noah and she slouches down, less alert. Liz gives Noah a sad look and Noah shakes his head. "No. She's not," He says, assuming she meant his Bella was dead.

"No! No! she's alive. She's just in a coma. It's been two days since the shooting," Liz explains. Noah gets up, ripping his IV out of his arm. "Woah, you can't get up yet, you got shot, man." Noah just ignores her, walking out of the room, slouching slightly from the pain in his shoulder. He finds a nurse and gets her attention.

"Where is Isabella Davis?" He demands. The nurse looks over her charts and pulls out one.

"Room 233, she's just been moved out of the ICU," She tells him. He starts walking toward the direction she is pointing. His eyesight was still a little blurry but he could make out the letters by the doors.

Once he finally found 233, he barged in without knocking. His Bella was here and right now, nothing could stop him from getting to her.

Isabella was on the bed, a white sheet up to her stomach. She looked almost angelic, the way the light shined on her face from the window. Noah stopped to take it in. Her stomach was wrapped with bandages and her hands were bruised. She had obviously fought back against her kidnappers.

"That's my girl," Noah whispers, slouching down onto the armchair next to her bed. "You are so brave. I'm so sorry I brought you into this. I should have never talked to you that day. None of this would have happened if I just continued to live my life," He admits. His hand reached out and grasped hers.

The monitor beeping fills the silence as Noah looks at Isabella. A part of him regrets everything, she was innocent before he pulled her into all of this. The other part of him is glad, he met the girl he wanted to live with forever. This girl pushed every button he would never let anyone else push.

Isabella was one of a kind in his eyes and he was so lucky to have met her that day. It was funny to him, if he had left just a moment earlier, they never would have met. He was guilty of loving her, but he never regretted that. He knew when Isabella woke she would most likely not want to see him, or at least not want to be with him.

"I love you, my Bella." He says, kissing her hand. "It's alright if you don't love me back. I've put you through hell for my own selfish reasons. If loving you will be my downfall, I can only hope I will see your smile before I hit the ground."

"You can't be in here sir," the voice of a woman sounds behind him. The nurse walks in and helps him up, he pulls away from her.

"I'll go, please let me know if she wakes up," the nurse just nods as she checks on Isabella. Noah walks out, seeing Liz standing at the end of the hall. "How do you feel?"

"Like I got shot," Noah sarcastically answers, walking back to his room and seeing Oliver and Marissa now in his room. He takes a seat on the bed and groans as the pain shoots up his arm.

"Bella's doing good, her vitals are strong. The doctor said she'd be okay," Oliver says, sitting on one of the chairs in the room. Noah nods, laying back and looking at the ceiling.

"When she's able to get out of here, I'm going to move her out. She doesn't deserve to keep getting hurt because I'm too selfish to love her knowing the risks," Noah tells the three, sighing and holding back his tears. He never cried but he couldn't help it. Bella was everything to him, he hadn't stopped thinking of her since the moment they met.

"Noah, are you sure? Think about this," Marissa tells her brother, rubbing his arm. None of them wanted him to let her go, but if it was to keep her safe, then they'd accept it but that doesn't mean they'd like it.

"Yes."

-

Bella's eyes flutter open, there is a beeping sound in the room. She looks around slowly, feeling the pain shoot through her. There is a nurse in the room changing her IV. "Well hello there, I'm so glad to see you awake. I'll go get the doctor," The nurse says, walking out and a moment later the doctor walks in with a clipboard.

"How are ya feeling?" the doctor asks, looking over papers. Bella groans and sits up.

"I'm okay, just in pain. Where is Noah?"

"Well your vitals seem to be great and you are responding well to the pain meds. You'll be out of here very soon," The doctor replies, ignoring her question.

"Where is Noah?" Bella asks again, getting a little frustrated by the doctor just ignoring her. She notices a figure standing at the door.

"I'm here." Bella looks over at Noah, he's leaning on the doorframe with a smile. She grins and tries to get up but winces in pain.

"Please be careful. You are still healing. Take it easy and try not to move too much," The doctor advises Bella before walking away. Noah makes his way to the couch next to Bella's bed and takes a seat, grabbing her hand once again.

"How are you?" Bella asks Noah, who is just staring at her beautiful eyes.

"I'm fine, just got shot I'm used to it." Bella giggles, unaware he's serious about it.

"I'm so sorry Bella. I'm so so sorry," Noah looks away from her and squeezes her hand. He doesn't know what else to say.

"Why are you sorry? You didn't shoot me," Bella tilts her head, giving him a confused look. He keeps his gaze on the ground and pulls his hand away from her. He stands up and steadies himself on his feet.

"But I did get you shot. Bella, it's too dangerous for you to be with me. You'll keep getting hurt and I love you too much to let it happen again." Bella looks at him, tears stinging her eyes already. What did he mean? wait...did he just say he loved her?

"Noah, what are you talking about?" Bella starts, moving forward to grab his hand. Pain shoots through her and makes her jerk back. "Noah. I love you. You don't have to live your life alone, we will figure something out."

There is a stinging pain in Noah's chest, she loves him too. But he couldn't let her get hurt. He couldn't let her love him anymore.

"Liz is moving your stuff into a nice apartment I'm paying for. I got you a job at my friend's company as his assistant. You'll love it and you'll forget about me soon enough. Bella, you will have a normal life again. Forget about me okay?" Noah leans in and kisses her cheek then walks out, ignoring her protests and sobs.

He couldn't let her destroy herself for him.

He just hated how much he just hurt her. At least it would help her hate him more, right?

Guys, I promise I've been working on his for so long, but I've lost so much motivation for it. But here it is!
