"So... Now can I ask what Myles did?" Steve asks as he drives us to Eddie's trailer.

"He set Eddie up to get arrested." I say flatly, looking out the window. I don't want to cry in front of them so I try to play it cool.

"What?!" Robin says loudly from the back seat, pulling herself up to the gap between me and Steve. I guess Steve didn't relay what I told him when I called.

"How?" Steve asks, calmer than Robin.

I go through the whole situation with them, explaining how even Hopper agrees that yesterday at the very least was planned, but how I believe something fishy probably started from the beginning. I explain how Myles even showed up today just to see Eddie in cuffs, too. I end up crying despite not wanting to, but out of anger more than fear this time.

"Oh my god." Robin mutters in shock.

"So wait, do you think he started working at the bar because he heard you're with Eddie now?" Steve asks. I can't tell Steve how that's impossible because I only "started dating" Eddie that first shift as a way to deter Myles.

"Maybe... But I think it's equally as likely that initially he did it to get close to me and win me back. Hopper listed a few places hiring right now, despite Myles saying otherwise." I say, and Steve shakes his head in disbelief.

"That's so creepy either way." Robin says.

"I knew the Carvers were dicks, and had connections in the police department... I don't know, I never thought Myles would go this far." Steve says.

"Do you think this is all just because it's Eddie that you're seeing? Like, do you think he'd get police involved if you were seeing anyone else? I know Eddie and Jason hate each other. Maybe he's in on this too?" Robin asks.

"Maybe. Jason and Myles aren't incredibly close, they butt heads a lot. I mean, at least they used to, I really can't say I know anything about them anymore. Myles was always jealous of Eddie and my friendship while we were together, but I don't know... The way he's acting is more of a 'if I can't have her, no one can' situation mixed with a 'you stole my property so you need to pay' vibe." I say angrily.

"That's so fucked up." Steve sighs.

"So... What are we going to do at Eddie's trailer?" Robin asks.

"I need to bail him out of jail, and my savings won't cover it." I say.

There's a moment where Steve and Robin exchange a look, they probably initially want to ask what the shovel is for, but opt not to. It's pretty obvious anyways.

By the time we're at the trailer, it's around 5PM, and Eddie's uncle Wayne is sitting outside having a cigarette after waking up to work the night shift. He looks confused seeing me show up without Eddie, and even more confused when I grab a shovel out of the trunk of Steve's car.

"Hey, darlin'. Do I even wanna know?" Wayne sighs, looking defeated.

"Hi Wayne. No, probably not." I say flatly.

"Jesus Christ, that kid is going to give me a heart attack one of these days. Let me know if you need anything, dear." Wayne says, shaking his head, flicking his cigarette away, then going back into the trailer.

I debate whether or not I should tell Steve and Robin to hang by the car, that way Eddie's stash spot won't be compromised. I decide he can just find another, because I haven't eaten in 24 hours, cried all day, and don't have the patience at this point to deal with this alone.

"We need to find a 'painted rock' Eddie said. I don't know if he means that literally or not." I say over my shoulder as I head to the tree line around back of the trailer. Steve and Robin follow, and we all keep our eyes peeled.
