DAY ZERO.

A tall lumberjack built man, stood in front of a table filled with 4 young adults. He quietly analyzed and looked at each of the people he hand picked for his job. He smiled, a variety of people, different personalities, different lives, he loved to see the difference between them. Some sat nervously, while others sat confidently, or bored. "Welcome everyone, today is the day before opening day. I know what some of you are thinking 'I suck for bringing you a day earlier' but you guys get to see behind the scenes stuff of this camp that you'll NEED to know about." He started, trying to explain the sudden meetup.

He checked his wristwatch, the time held at 9 am. "And it's quite early, we'll get started! My name is Frank, I'm the camp director if you couldn't tell! It's early so let's hurry and get this thing going! Outside everyone LETS GO!" His voice boomed, before everyone scurried out their seats. As they all stood outside of the small cabin, titled "Staff Building", they heard the quiet sound of nature coming from all around them. "Well, before we do, we're gonna go ahead with introductions hm? I know how your generation is, no one wants to volunteer, which is why I want YOU Zara to go first. Since this is your second year!" Frank smiled, referring to the more confident standing brunette.

Zara adjusted her hair to be out of her tan face before speaking, "Well, hello guys, I'm Zara, and it's my second year as a counselor here! Well, not really HERE but the original organization that this was apart of haha!" She rambled. Quiet mumbles of greetings could be heard from the others, and with that Frank decided his next volunteer. "Alright, I'll actually get into that in a bit! But if I recall your name is Yukio? You go next young sir!" Frank pointed to a tallish still standing boy, hands clasped behind his back. "Oh, alright sir. My name is Yukio, and it's my first time as a counselor, but I used to be a camper at the public association a few years back." He said scratching his neck. While Zara gave him a wave with her hello, the others again mumbled their greeting.

Frank sighed, knowing the other two were more so problem teens, one was here to get his life together, and the other to gain social skills. "Molly, please introduce yourself!" He politely asked the quiet girl. Molly pushed her glasses up her face, before giving an audible sigh. "My name is Molly, it's my first year as a counselor. I've never been a camper." She said bluntly. Everyone gave their greetings, before turning to the last boy. He stood tall, even if he wasn't as tall, with his arms crossed. "Carl, I know why you're here, but please introduce yourself. Its the least you can do right now." Frank said softly to the boy. He shook his hand in disapproval before saying anything, "My name is Carl. I was just a camper like last year. That's it." He said before rolling his eyes.

"Alright now that the awkward part is done, the only thing left is the show you guys where everything is, hoping you used bug spray or sunscreen, because we have a bit of a walk to do. It's a new camp so none of you can act as if you know anything!" He warned, before walking off towards the other buildings. He pointed out, and explained vaguely where and what each building in the main area is and its use. Stopping at the dining hall, he explained that the cook would be here by noon to make them lunch, and that the kids would also be dining here as well. "Also sometimes if it's raining certain activities can be held here, I do think there's a few storms in case for the next month." He added on, before going to a trail that led to the forest.

Because Frank was the only person talking, and walking ahead, the 4 teens followed behind quietly, trying to keep his pace. "So..", Zara quietly spoke to Molly, "It's so refreshing to see another girl here! I almost got scared when the bus almost left without you!" She quietly cheered. Molly looked at her confused, then without speaking, kept walking forwards, if not faster. Carl snickered at the interaction, before having to catch up himself. Yukio walked at a fast past, staying at a close distance behind Frank, the others were a bit behind him. Zara decided to back off from conversation for now.
