It had been a few weeks since Ameria arrived in Mystic Falls.

Most people had gotten to know her and they grew to love her. She wasn't the quiet new girl anymore.

She loved Elena. Not just as a friend, but in that way that made her feel like she belonged somewhere, with someone who understood the weight she carried.

Since her first day at Mystic High, Elena had become more than just a friendly face.

They'd spent countless afternoons walking the quiet streets of Mystic Falls, talking about everything, like favorite books, memories of lost family, dreams of what they would want their life to look like when they graduated.

Elena never pushed ameria and never pried on her, but somehow she saw the parts Ameria kept hidden. She didn't need explanations, she just understood.

For Ameria, Elena wasn't just a friend. She was a glimpse of home in a town where everything else felt uncertain.

She had also formed a close bond with Caroline who loved to talk and Ameria enjoyed every moment of it. Caroline had quickly become her other best friend.

Caroline was kind, and so was Liz. They both adored Ameria. Liz was especially grateful her daughter had someone else to make her happy.

Most nights, Ameria would crash at Caroline's place, helping her plan events neither of them really needed to plan for.

Especially a wedding. Caroline insisted it was important, and Ameria, secretly loved every second of it.

Then there was Bonnie. Out of Caroline, Bonnie was her second favorite. While Elena was her first.

Maybe it was the whole "we're both witches" thing, but it ran deeper than that. Their connection came naturally.

Along the way, Bonnie had taught her new spells. And Ameria, despite being stubborn sometimes, had listened. Bonnie had been proud to help her.

Ameria generally got along with everyone, but her dynamic with Damon was... complicated.

He flirted with her constantly, throwing smirks and teasing comments her way. Sometimes she rolled her eyes.

Most of the time, she found him irritating. But Damon appreciated her, it was another witch in town, and another woman to charm and tease.

And then there was Stefan.

Stefan was different. He always smiled at her when she walked into the room, always checked in on her, always made sure the people around him were safe.

It was safe to say Ameria genuinely enjoyed being around Stefan Salvatore.

Maybe a little too much.

~~~~~
Everybody was preparing for Founders' Day, and Carol Lockwood was supervising.
Ameria spotted Stefan in a suit, waiting for someone, maybe Elena.
