The single thread of hope
Holding us together
Took a "sick day"
And we all drifted from each other
Everyone else left to find new hope
As I sit here hopeless
Trying not to fall off this steep slope
I see my friends
Threading themselves to new people
While I present as a destroyed
Unwanted sweater
Waiting for that single thread to come back
And hold us together again
But she's feeling down and in the dumps
I sit alone
Glancing around trying to find a speck of hope
For maybe someone will come
And begin to thread themselves to me
Fixing my impairities
Curing my insecurities
But everyones already attached some one
I guess I waited too long
I guess I should've left sooner
Now I can only wait
Unil the thread of unity and hope returns
