This world takes place in the medieval era, though this world is different than the ones you know....
Humans, Elves, Vampires, Beasts, Sirens and many other creatures live in this world. Magic do exist here but not many are capable of handling it, so this world isn't so different than those without magic... If you exempt magical creatures. What they lack in pure magic, they instead provide alchemy and blessings..... And sometimes witchcraft.
Although I said few can handle magic, does not mean all beings don't have one to begin with, each living creatures have a source of magic in them, but unfortunately, it is almost impossible to handle without any severe consequences, when one uses magic recklessly, their mind would be corrupted, their body uncontrollable and worse, they could die just from the pressure itself... That is why most would ignore the possibility of using magic as to not risk their own lives.
The only beings that are able to make use of magic are separated into three groups..
The Saints, The Corrupt and The Mythical
The Saints
These groups consist of mostly humans and sometimes elves. They are those that are devoted to their respective Gods. In each country, they have their own church for the Gods and Goddesses that they worship, although their beliefs and faiths differ, they are all still considered as a part of The Saints. They are able to control their use of magic from the blessings they received from their Gods. But they are also know for being very strict towards their own followers and judgemental towards outsiders.
The Corrupt
These are those who commit sinful and unlawful acts. These groups are the ones who are most likely involved in witchcraft, black magic and cults. These groups consist of only humans as far as one can tell. They are able to control their use of magic either from selling their souls and bodies to tell devils or from embracing the corruption affecting their bodies. By embracing it, they cannot maintain their bloodlust and discard their humanity, becoming no less than a monster, though they are at least capable of thinking for themselves.
The Mythical
These groups are different than the previous two. These ones were naturally born with capabilities of controlling their use of magic by nature. These groups consist mostly of elves, sirens, dragons, vampires, werewolves and most other magical beasts. Each race were given different types of magic, for example : the elves were born with elemental magic while the werewolves were born with greater strengths. The Mythical could be divided into two groups, the humanoids and beasts. The humanoids such as elves, sirens and vampires are capable of thoughts, but beasts such as werewolves, griffins and dragons don't but instead follow their natural instincts just like animals.
Though there is one that exists out of the main group that are able to freely use their magic without any consequences nor restrictions, and that is...
The Eternal
They are a being that exists once in a millennium, so far they were born a human being, their only unique traits consist of peroxide blonde hairs, porcelain skin and golden eyes. Not much is known about them as they are extremely rare but they are known to be born randomly into families as if like a gift from the Gods. They are rumoured to be able to bestow blessings and live as long as mythical creatures. Their youthful appearance maintaining the same even as they grow older as their bodies are filled with limitless potentials of magic. Because of that, their bodies are more stable than the average human beings. And when they do make an appearance, they're treated like Gods among the people.
