Even with a red hand print on his left cheek,
Yuuki wore a smile as he served breakfast.
"You look awfully happy even after getting slapped, Yuuki."
"Isn't staying positive better than negative?"
"If you are a masochist, that is."
Both Gramps and Yuuki paused their conversation
as they sipped hot chocolate from their cups.
With my mouth full from chewing egg sandwich,
I listened intently to their continuation.
"Not in that sense,
but why be angry
when you can be happy?"
"It wouldn't be nice
if the happiness you gained
is at the expense of angering others."
Gramps' reply struck a chord in our hearts.
Even the immature Yuuki seemed to have realized
the aftereffects of his prank.
Looking at the wall clock he built,
Gramps changed the subject
and gave us a reminder.
"Well, you two should get going now.
Not too nice to keep your friends waiting, no?"
