Every day it would be insults towards her appearance, her interests, her shyness, and practically everything about her. She rushes home after getting off her afternoon bus when she just cannot take it anymore, and runs directly to her bedroom where her curtains are never open. Only because she hates the light, she uses a lamp and not her overhead light. Ambrosia sits in the far corner of her room so no one could hear her cry with her hands covering her face. Until nothing more could come out of her eyes, until her face was filled with blotches of pinkish-red, something completely shocking to her family and friends took its place while Ambrosia thinks over and over "I'm not beautiful. I am ugly just as everyone says I am. Why am I here? Nobody appreciates me for who I am. I have glasses and I am too scared to try to use my contacts. So they are right, it is pathetic that I will not use my contacts. Is all of this really worth living for?"
