Author's note

So I posted early because I had free time in class, so I finished editing it. Tell me what you think. This is mostly based on the Disney TV Series rather than the book.

Just to be clear, I am mostly taking things out from the book, not the show. This is only an experiment.

"How was it?" Thalia asked curiously, looking at her cousin, who gave her a questioning look. "I meant after you got claimed."

"Terrible," Percy grimaced slightly, remembering her experience. Poseidon scowled, hearing that was another reason his daughter shouldn't return; she belonged beside him. Anthonius also grimaced; he could remember how everyone treated her and how they isolated her.

"Sorry," Anthonius apologized, to the surprise of Thalia and Nico; they didn't expect or know why he was apologizing. Although they did have a suspicion, considering everything they heard, they knew they didn't get along in the beginning.

"It's alright," She gave him a gentle smile that many gods felt he didn't deserve. Hades and Poseidon narrowed their eyes at the son of Athena. They felt he was part of why Percy's experience was so bad; in their eyes, he should be locked up in Tartarus for that.

"You are too forgiving, daughter," Poseidon said as he gazed down at his daughter sitting beside him. Percy was utterly confused about what he meant, but she supposed she should have expected that he would say something like that; he wasn't the most forgiving person. The other demigods couldn't help but stare. Percy had never been exactly short; she was above average in height, but sitting next to Poseidon, she seemed tiny in comparison.

"Isn't she perfect," Apollo sighed dreamily, gazing at her completely smitten. "So forgiving and kind."

Artemis and Leto shared a concerned look full of despair; they could only thank Chaos that Poseidon hadn't caught Apollo staring at his daughter just yet.

"As a forbidden child of the Sea God," Chiron said, standing beside Mr. D. "You are singular amongst demigods. And your father's only hope to prevent the outbreak of war. For months now, Zeus and Poseidon have been locked in a dispute over the Master bolt. The symbol of Zeus's authority and it has been stolen."

"The Master Bolt?" Shiva asked, confused, just like many of the deities in the room.

"It's—," Anthonius was starting to explain before Shiva and many other gods sneered at him. Thalia and Nico knew instantly that the deities in this room clearly had something against Anthonius by how they reacted. Athena put her head in her hands as if hoping to hide from the other gods; she was embarrassed at the son of her alternate self, and she truly feared that he would do something to earn the ire of the other gods, especially Poseidon, who would probably kill her anyway.

"I didn't ask you half-blood," Shiva snarked as he focused back on Percy, his expression softening immediately. Kali and Parvita had to hold Durga from pouncing on the boy for thinking he had any right to explain.

"Um...yeah," Percy shifted slightly as the whole room's attention shifted to her. "It's his symbol of power, making him more powerful." She tried explaining in the only way she knew how. Anthonius could have done a better job, but nobody seemed to give him a chance when he tried to speak. They all disregarded him entirely.

"Those gods need a weapon to become more powerful," Poseidon sneered in disgust; they tarnished everything a god should be. A god did not need anything; they shouldn't depend on a weapon to show their authority. They are all they should ever need.

Loki and Beelzebub scoffed at how ridiculous these gods seemed, like a poor imitation of them, nothing but cheap versions playing gods. First, they depend on half-bloods, and now on weapons; how pathetic.
