"Dammit!" Indy cursed, and the shock of landing shot through his injured knee.

"Can you get up?" She moved from behind him.

She put her hand out, he took it. "I'm not completely crippled you know." She helped him to his feet.

"Are you completely bullheaded that you can't accept help without complaining?"

"Have you ever not had a princess complex?"

"Have you ever not had a God complex?" she spewed back. "Let's go." She could see the light at a far distance.

"Where are you going? we should be trying to climb back out."

"Are you new to this whole Archeology thing?" her voice echoed as she reared a corner.

"She's going to get me killed." He muttered to himself, as he followed.

He could see, standing at a halt. "Y/N?"

"Indy. Do you see this?" She held a Winchester flashlight in her hand, holding out one for him.

In the distance as far as they can see multiple structures of pyramids and statues, some intact, most crumbled.  Indy's just looked in amazement. "We did it, by dumb luck, we did it!"

She screamed excitedly jumping into his arms. "I would've never done it without you. Thank you." He set her down.

"Well well well, you were able to find it." They both turned to find three men, one being the driver from before.

"I've been meaning to introduce myself. I'm Sherman Randall."

"I don't care if you're Moses himself, What do you want with us?" Y/N quipped.

"Y/N, my boss, don't worry about his name, has paid a hefty amount to kill you and take what you know to find this... " He paused, "momentous discovery. Then Doctor Jones here, had to get involved. You Doctor Jones have made quite the name for yourself, and have been on my boss' radar for some time now. Imagine his excitement when I told him you involved yourself in Y/N's antics. He paid even more handsomely, but he wanted you alive. Not sure why nor do I care." He shrugged.

"Don't I feel special." each word dripped with sarcasm.

"You shouldn't." Randall retorted, turning his gaze to Y/N. "You know, you're far too pretty to kill... yet. Think we may have our fill of you first." Indy's handsome face turned into one of rage. The two men held Y/N by her arms, as Randall who had his back to her pulled a gun on Indiana. "Do as I say and they won't hurt your little girlfriend." The man instructed. "Walk," He pointed with his gun.

Indy whose eyes grew large, just nodded. He watched as Y/N freed from one man knocking him out in a single punch. The other went to lunge his knife at her when she evaded the strike, hand over hand she turned the man's knife on him. Before the gunman could turn she jumped on his back putting him in a headlock, he immediately dropped his gun which Indy picked up.

Sherman threw his weight back landing on Y/N. She let out a sound of pain but didn't let go. He kicked towards Indiana, who was still standing in front of him, and clawed at any part of her he could reach, but she just tightened his grip until his movements were still, but she didn't let go.

"You can let go, he's gone." She didn't. Indy's voice went soft. "Y/N, let go."

She immediately let go and scurried away from him with fear in her eyes. She looked around, seeing two men, dead. one was still knocked out. "I'm a murderer," She whimpered. He immediately took her into his arms. "Indy, I'm sorry. I just saw him pull that gun on you... and I... I couldn't I co-."

He shushed her, holding her tighter. "You keep coming to my rescue."

"I've never killed someone."

"Thank you."

She looked at him bewildered, "You're thanking me for killing them?"

"I'm thanking you for saving my life. I would be dead if it weren't for you. I should be the one coming to your rescue but you're the hero in this situation."

"Don't let your male ego get hurt." This made him laugh, and stood, helping her to her feet. "So, what do we do with his guy?"

"That was one hell of a punch... and that headlock. Where'd you learn to fight?" He wiped the blood from her face that she received from him clawing her.

She momentarily closed her eyes to his touch, before reopening them and speaking, "My parents died when I was young, a robbery. My uncle took care of me, owned a boxing ring, and didn't want me to ever become a victim if I could help it."

"Smart man."

"He was." She gave a melancholy smile.

Indy looked at the man in thought before hitting one knee grabbing a belt from one of the men and tying the still-breathing man's hands together. He stirred but didn't awaken. "Morning sunshine." He slapped. him. The man opened his eyes. "Morning, how'd it feel getting knocked the hell out by someone half your size big man?" Indy teased.

The man just responded by spitting in his face. Both Y/N and Indy made a disgusted expression. She kicked his shoulder. "Use your manners, that's impolite."

Indy just looked up at her and smiled, before standing and pulling the man to his feet. "Better listen before I let her finish the job."

They walked to a bigger clearing. Indy pushed the man to sit on a small boulder. "Sit and don't move." Indy and Y/N were walking closer to one of the large structures, the man attempted to get up when Indy turned quickly pulling his whip from his hip and striking the man, leaving a mark across the side of his neck, screaming, he hit his knees. "I was clear with my demand. Next time I'll aim for that chiseled jaw of yours."

Y/N's eyes widened.  "You were aiming for his neck?"

He just smirked at her, "I'm very precise." His words were laced with innuendo.

"Well, I knew that Jones." She turned and walked away, he raised his brows with a flirtatious grin before following suit.

"This is miraculous." She walked up the stairs of the millennia-aged pyramid. "It's almost fully intact. Look how beautiful it is Indy?"

"It is," He looked around as he walked in behind her shining his light at the ceiling. "Look at the craftsmanship."

"This has to be older than a milenia."

Unknown to their knowledge the man from outside, left. They walked along the pillars, as Indy and Y/N discussed everything they saw, discussed, and corrected each other. They reached the back of the pyramid when there was a loud cracking sound, Indiana threw himself on Y/N as part of the structure began to collapse overhead.
