Y/n's POV:
Most of my life I never really did anything. I never talked to anybody and I'm really quiet.
I'm also pretty smart and I know how to make things since I learned since I didn't have a house really.
I decided today I should try to do something. I walked In the town when I spotted a flyer hung up on a tree.
Sonic, I think I've heard of him before. He wants a new sidekick. I might as well go since I have nothing else to do .
I soon walked in a line. I was behind someone with a hood, looked kinda suspicious
The line got shorter until I was in front of the line.
(I'm just going to say the names so there's no introduction to anybody)
I walked inside and saw Sonic, Tails, and Eggman.
"You both can move on to round two, but neither of you can be my sidekick." Sonic spoke
"Who else is there?" Tails asked
Sonic looked at me suddenly. "Since I don't have much time on my hands let me ask you the last question of the quiz. What would you do in a no-win situation?" Sonic asked me.
Feeling everyone's stares I looked at Sonic nervously.
"There's no such thing as a no-win situation... as long as you think it through enough." I said quietly luckily I didn't have to repeat it since he heard
"Congratulations! You're the third candidate!" Sonic smiled

"Alright, being my sidekick is no easy task. This competition will test your strength, stamina and endurance."
Me, Tails, and Eggman, were all standing on hover boards
"The winner will be whoever makes it through all the unimaginable hardships and brings me the red flag." He points to a mountain
"Planted atop the incredibly dangerous but inaccurately names mount. Safety." Sonic finished.
I looked at how dangerous and high it looked. I started to think this job isn't that good for me and I might just back down.
"Um.." I started to backaway before Eggman pushed me down the slope. "Hey!" I shut my eyes tightly as I went down
I felt someone patting my back. I slowly opened me eyes and looked beside me to see Tails noticing that I wanted to back down but was forced to do it anyways.
Eggman started to attack us I had dodged all of his attacks.
Soon Eggman and Tails had flew off somewhere. I continued to ride the hover board with no obstacles and soon was at the flag.
I picked it up and looked over to see Sonic and Tails walking over to me.
"Sorry you can't be my sidekick." Sonic told me.
"It's okay, I don't think this job is for me anyways." I smiled
"You seem to be really smart, so I was actually going to ask if you'd be interested in joining the team." Sonic asked
"If I didn't I'd just be sitting around. So I'm just going to say yes."
"Okay!" Sonic said.
"So about this job, what are the hours like?" Tails asked
"It's 7 days a week and you get your own plane." Sonic replied
"I do?" I smiled.
"Yeah, Tails can build it for you if you want."
"Can I help?"
"You can build things?" Tails asked. I nodded at his question
"Then yeah,"
"This is a little embarrassing to ask but... can I stay at your guy's house?"
"Of course it's not a problem." Tails said as Sonic nodded
I smiled and thanked them. I gained 2 friends today I'll meat the rest of them tommorow
