UNEDITED

After Laura fell asleep on my floor I went across to Evan's house. He was already sleeping on his bed when I went through his window but when I stepped onto his floor he woke up, "I thought that you weren't coming over tonight, what took you so long?" he asked me, going into his bathroom.

"Laura decided to spend the night and I had to wait until she fell asleep to leave," I explained to him.

"I thought that she already knew that you come to see me almost three times a week," he asked while took some pills out of his bathroom cupboard.

I shook my head, "She suspects that I do, but I don't want to give her anything extra to tease me on." "How are things going with Nick?"

"We decided to break up."

Evan paused for a moment while he was putting away the capsule. "I'm sorry," he said underneath his breath, loud enough for me to hear him. "Why did you two break up?"

"Nick met a girl a couple months ago named Lily and said that he had more feelings for her than he had feelings for me," I explained to him. "I'm happy for him and we are going to stay friends. Besides, this girl seems to make him more happy than I ever did."

He came out of the bathroom with his pills in one hand and a cup of water in another. "Would you have broken it off if he hadn't done it?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "I would like to think that I would have but part of me wanted him to be the one so I don't look like the bad guy."

"Why would you be the bad guy?"

I did not answer him, instead I nodded towards the pills in his hand. "Why do you actually take those? You just tell me that they help you sleep and that was it, but what are they actually used for?"

Evan did not answer me either, he glanced down at them. Before he had the chance to pop them in his mouth, I got up from where I was sitting and took them out of his hand. Quickly, I went into his bathroom with the pills and locked the door behind me.

I heard him bang on the door a couple of times making me flinch every time his fist made contact with the door. "Autumn, open up the door and give those to me right now," he slammed on it a couple of more times, quitting on the fifth slam. "I need to take those," he said against the door.

Both of the rooms were silent for a while until I heard his bedroom door open. "Evan, why are you banging on the wall? Your father and I can hear you all the way downstairs," his mother exclaimed. "Have you taken your medicine yet. It is a little past midnight, you should be sleeping."

"I ran out of them today and I forgot to tell you and I'm a little pissed off that I can't take them tonight," he growled through his teeth.

"A little?" she said astonished. "I think that you need to know what little means in the dictionary because banging on the wall is not classified as being a little pissed off. And while you're at it, take some of that Bi-polar prescription that your doctor recommended you. You were so excited a couple of hours ago. I just need you to be healthy and not bang on stuff, you are leaving to go to college in a few months and you need to start acting like an adult."

Then it was silent again and Evan did not bang on the wall again. I did not open the door though.

After a few minutes of silence, I opened the door.

Evan was sitting on his desk chair right across from the bathroom door, on the other side the room. "I'm not Bi- polar."

"Are you sure?" I asked him. "Because, what just happened on the bathroom door was not normal. It was scary."
