I was speechless and confused...

"She's your sister?" I asked. "Yes, she's my sister, but not biologically. I was adopted. They turned me into a monster, until your parents found me. Then took me in." He explained. "How did this happen? How could she even do this to me?" I asked.

"Well, Akira loves playing little games." Kagaya answered.

"Here's our opportunity. Hikari, now that you're a child, your powers are a little more enhanced. When dragons are children, their powers are fresh, raw. Which makes it better to learn when they're young. We could teach you. We could mentor you. You could finally get trained in all the things you need to learn." My mother had a passion in her eyes.

I thought about it. "When does my training start?"

"Today."

Kagaya brought me to the library...

He scanned the shelves carefully, taking books out, putting them back in. I waited patiently at a desk. He then put several books on the table.

"These will be your history books that you need to read. You have to read each of these books in order twice. But we do not want to waste time giving you actual classes. So, I'm giving you these books filled with all our history. And if you have any questions, you could just ask me." He mentioned.

I looked at the books. Each one was about an inch and a half thick.

"This is all I need?" I asked. "Yes, all you need to know is in these books. I want you to read at least half, or one full book each night, or whenever you have the time to. Because during the time, you will be taught other training, so give yourself time at night to read it over. Can you do that?" Kagaya gave me a solemn look.

"I think I can handle a couple of books." I answered. He then wiped the serious look off his face with a smile. He pat my head, "That's a good little sister! Now, here's a cookie for your hard work!"

I looked at him dumbfounded, "I'm not a dog, you know?" But I still took the cookie anyways. He had a nervous little laugh. "Sorry Hikari, I forgot how to treat a younger sibling without babying them like a puppy." He apologized.

I giggled a little.

"That's okay!".....
