Will looked through his window every day, during the morning and during the night. Weird to know but Will was a night owl. He liked the shadow, it made him curious and him feel safe for some strange reasons.
He was extroverted, he liked to be alone too sometimes.
He took The Goldfinch out of his shelf. It was the copy Nico had gifted to him.
He started at the cover for a long time, petting it as a puppy just because Nico touched it. That book was very dear to him.
He wondered if him and Nico would ever meet at that point. They have been talking for months now and he felt a strong connection towards him.
<<Maybe it's more than just a connection.>> He kept repeating that to himself, trying to discover his feelings.
It was like playing hide and seek, Will was the one counting and he had to found all the emotions correlated to Nico.
<<Do I like him?>>
This question crossed his mind at least twice a day.
In the warm of his own room, Will he began to leaf through the book. All the little notes Nico had left to him made him wince. Every time he looked at them he imagined his friend writing with his hands.
For Will it looked like an intimate thing to share a book.
<<This is what couples do.>> He though while his cheeks reddened.
