Mason
Warm lips on mine. So soft. Everything I needed to feel. My hands are still on her waist for a moment, and my mind blanks. Then it hits me so hard that I fall backward, bumping into a man who gives me a nasty look.
Thea pulls back, licking her lips with excitement in her eyes. She throws her hands up and says, "That was so thrilling."
Thrilling.
She had been kissing me because it brought her a thrill. She had been kissing me because she felt as though she was lost in a moment. She was lost in the moment of her excitement and the high energy that she has. She hadn't kissed me because she had wanted to. She had kissed me because it was the thing her mind randomly thought of.
I can feel the line on my forehead as I look at her. She was still dancing with her hands in the air, and she looked so beautiful. She looked so grown up, and I didn't know how she had chosen to spend her evening with me. She hadn't once made the implication of wanting to leave me by myself. She had stayed with me all night, grabbing me more and more drinks.
My mind was absolutely a mess right now, but I couldn't not feel Thea's lips on mine. When she kissed me, I felt it in my heart. It flew as though all the emotions that I had stored away for the last several years came back. It felt as though I could finally breathe, and then she pulled away to not even pay me any of mind.
But she is. She throws her arms out in front of her and then points her manicured and toward me. There is a glint in her eyes as she says, "Come here, Mase." And then, in a few seconds, my lips are on mine again. No. This can't be right. But she is kissing me, and she is trying to kiss me even harder. She presses her tongue to the bottom of my lip, but I pull away.
She squints her eyes at me and then frowns, though it may just be a pout. She looks up at me from her eyelashes and says, "Why did you pull away?"
I place a hand on her waist, jerking her closer to me. She giggles; the sound is not making it any easier for me to resist her. I then place my head beside hers and my mouth next to her ear. My other hand comes to the side of her other neck; my touch is so light that it could easily be just a mistake. My voice is breathy, but I get it under
control."Because the next time we kiss, I'm going to be taking you home with me," I whisper, causing her to shiver audibly.
I pull away and then look at her face. I wished that I wasn't drunk so that I could memorize the pretty flush of her face. I look at her in the face and say, "You cannot just kiss me because of the fact that you are excited."
"Mason?" she asks me, then moves her body closer to mine. "You said that if we were to kiss again, you would take me home with you."
"I did," I confirm with a nod of my head. Thea nods. "Yeah?"
"Yes," I answer, and then shake my head. I'm about to add that I wasn't talking about it now and that the next time we kissed, we would have already talked about our conflict. But I'm not able to say any of that when her lips pull up in the biggest grin and she presses it against my lips.
I give myself three seconds to move away, but the blood rushes back to my head, and my body is light. Instead of pulling away from the kiss, I'm grabbing her waist tighter against my own body, and then I have another hand on the side of her face. I'm opening my mouth, and she follows suit, and in the next second, we are kissing each other with as much intensity as we can manage.
She tastes of the drinks that she had a few minutes ago, but she also tastes like I remembered her from six years ago. She tastes so sweet that I'm sweeping my tongue in her mouth just to have her even more. She groans into my mouth, and I'm smirking as I grab a hold of her and move us to the side. I press her against the part of the wall that I had been leaning against for the better part of the last hour. Then I have my hand in her hair, placing a leg inbetween her bare thighs as I pin her in place.
