Hello Everyone today we get to talk about the sword girl who loves classical music; Sayaka Miki...well her Magia Record self since this Magical Girls Explained series is Magia Record base, so let's get started anyway with the Info.

(General Info)

Sayaka Miki is a 14 year old Defense type magical girl, her eyes and hair color are blue, and is she about 158-160 cm in height, her soul gem is a C-shape gem, similar to a crescent moon or a mermaid's tail located on her abdomen in her magical girl form.

Sayaka's weapon is a Cutlass, a type of single-edge sword which are more common during the early age of sail as a naval weapon used by sailors, pirates and privateers in Europe from the 17th to the early 20th century.

Sayaka's witch and Doppel is Oktavia von Seckendorff.

Her wish to become a magical girl was to heal the arm of Kyosuke Kamijo, so he can play his violin again, however the exact wording of the wish is unknown.

Her known relatives are her unnamed mother and aunt, and she comes from Mitakihara City where she attends Mitakihara Middle School in the second year.

Her magical girl element is the Water Element and her powers and abilities are called Treatment which means she has Accelerated Healing.

(Summary)

A straightforward Magical Girl with a strong sense of justice. She is a dear friend of Madoka and looks up to her Magical Girl senpai, Mami, who's fighting style of mass-conjuring weapons resembles her own. She used to visit her childhood friend Kyosuke in the hospital often.

The Doppel of unrequited love. Its form is a mermaid. The master of this emotion suffered from young love and chose a fate so harsh that she could not bear it alone. As such, the Doppel dreams of love while it swims effortlessly through the air, playing a song for its master from its vast hollow body. It can control several swords to attack its enemies with the soundwaves that emanate from its body, but as long as the master uses it, she cannot flee from the discontent that troubles her heart.

Sayaka arrives at Kamihama City to go shopping with Kyousuke Kamijou. Sayaka insists it's not a date - Kyousuke is looking for a CD by one of his favorite violinists, while Sayaka is looking for fancy clothes (or something). Suddenly Sayaka hears a scream. Wondering if it's a witch, she runs towards it and finds herself in an empty elementary school. Finding it empty, she hears groaning and comes across Hinano Miyako. Sayaka asks if she's alright, and Hinano says she is. The girls introduce themselves. Hinano explains she got bumped on the back of the head while setting things up for the chemistry lab. Hinano suspects the culprit is still around.

Sayaka decides that "Great Detective Sayaka-chan" will help. Sayaka gives a faux case summary and asks Hinano if anyone else was around. Hinano says today's an off day so there aren't any teachers or students around, and the kids who would come to the lab wouldn't be here so early. Hinano wonders if it's a witch, then tells Sayaka she's just talking to herself. Sayaka asks if Hinano is a magical girl, and reveals she's one herself. Hinano says she didn't detect a witch's presence. Sayaka agrees, and said that she only ran to the school because she only thought a witch could be there when she heard screaming.

Hinano wonders if the witch hit her and ran. Sayaka says the door was closed when she got there, and Hinano says it should have been closed the whole time she was preparing in the lab. Hinano asks the "Magical Detective" what she thinks happened. Sayaka thinks the culprit must have entered through the room's window, since it was on the first floor. Sayaka notes that when she came in the curtains were fluttering. Sayaka figures that the culprit has already escaped, so catching them will be difficult. Hinano says that they have a lead, and with her scientific expertise she's going to shoot fire.
