"Gworrllll today's our first lab day in high school!!! I'm super excited!!! But THERE ARE RUMORS THAT WE'LL BE PAIRED WITH GUYS!"
Takane- "Tch why boys! Ewk. I don't wanna be partnered with a trans"
She considers all men as Trans. Her standards are just way too high.
I rolled my eyes
"I hope I don't get paired with some troublemakers-" said Ikumi.
"I hope I don't get partnered at all" added Chiyu.
"I wouldn't mind it. Unless and until it's an annoying brat" I said.
We were in the lab.
"You all will be paired randomly. Let's make this a little fun by a game" said the teacher.
"Eh? Gamesss? Funnnn?!"
"Everyone! Listen! Roll num 26-50, Write your names in a chit and fold it"
"Okay I see where this is goinggg" I smirked.
"They'll tell 1-25 to pick a random chit" said Takane
"I'm excited!!!!"
"So am I!!!!" Ikumi.
"That's childish. I just wish I don't get partnered with a guy. Or pick mes fr."
Said takane.
"Makes sense. I hope I don't get partnered with pick mes or dumbos either haha" I said.
We wrote our names in separate chits and handed it to teacher.
"Okay 1-25, come here and pick one."
They all along with Chiyu went to pick the chits.
Soon she rushed over to us with a mischievous smile.
"So." Chiyu.
"Who's your partner?" I said
"It's...."
"Yeah?"
"IKUMI!!" she exclaimed in laughter and chuckle.
"TALK ABOUT LUCK! YALL ARE BESTIES AND TOPPERS! YOU BOTH WILL TOP ALL ASSIGNMENTS"
Ikumi smiled and laughed too.
"Who knows.."
"Ah I wonder who my partner is. He/she hasn't come to me yet"
"Excuse me..." someone behind me said.
"Eh?" I turned around to see a guy who is the same height as me, has amber eyes and a bit skinny.
"Are you....Sayumi?"
"Mhm?"
"Wait so are you my partner!?" I said raising my voice a little.
"Yeah...it seems like" his voice sounded insecure.
"Oh okay. I'm Sayumi Yano"
Takane was just glaring at the two of us.
Wtf?
"I'm...Baku"
"Okay. Nice to meet you"
Takane's pov-

So everybody got partnered BESIDES ME.
did my chit get lost or smth?

Then I fell a hand on my shoulder and I flinched and turned around-
"Wtf-"
"Akihiko?"
"Takane, you're my partner."
I felt a cool shiver run down my spine.
Why him out of all people?!
I hate him....
