Germany didn't declare war on the United States.
As the US Focused all its resources on the Japanese forces in the Pacific, Germany no longer needed Japan, their purpose was to only distract the United States as Hitler organized his troops to invade The British Isles, however, to make sure the US only stayed on Japan, Germany discreetly gave Japan chemical weapons and their production information, letting Japan cause mass Genocide across the Asia.
On August 25th, 1946, after intense bombing, Germany Invaded the British Isle and bombed Buckingham Palace. Winston Churchill was killed after refusing to surrender against German Troops and fought until a bullet struck him down.
British Refugees stormed the US East Coast, as America began to realize the real threat was Germany after the US lost multiple Troops after their invasion of Japan after the Nuclear Bombing of Tokyo. America was struck by a sudden attack as ships, disguised as refugee ships, arrived at the East Coast.
The first wave of "refugees" was saboteurs, they bombed weapon depots, military barracks, naval depots, and then airbases.
In the second wave, people saw SS Troops Storm out of ships in New York, massacring the Police, and the National Guard.
As the US scrambled to pull its resources out of Asia, the Atlantic fleet was decimated by the Bismark's fleet, after they won the Battle of the Bismark and the U-Boat fleets which ambushed unexpecting US Ships. US Troops were outmatched, as they began to advance, as National Guard units struggled to hold a defensive line, Washington DC remained in the US Hands, and DC became a fortress.
As battle-hardened troops arrived back in the United States, the US fought a desperate Defense with Canada as German Reinforcements arrived. They fought to a bloody stalemate as the Nazi Regime's claws spread across Europe, Africa, and Russia. Soviet soldiers fighting a desperate Retreat in Siberia after mass gas attacks across The Soviet Union, Ireland was the last bastion of British Forces, however soon enough, their defenses fell, and they were truly alone.
