"Araxie!" A loud voice beckoned Araxie from the upper deck. She groaned and turned over on her bunk.

"Hold on, I'm coming." Araxie called back at him. She quickly threw on a coat, knowing how the icy wind would bite at her pale skin without layers of protection. Araxie shivered as she pulled on her boots. It was the middle of the night. What could Hook want? Araxie climbed the ladder that led her from my tiny room, she called home. "Is all well Hook?" Araxie asked the figure silhouetted against the moonlight.

"I'm afraid not Araxie. I've had a visitor." Hook began slowly.

Araxie ran her hand along the wooden posts lining the ship rail, "who was it?"

"Pan."

Araxie shivered, where was this going?

"He wants you. As a bargaining chip against your father." Hook explained.

Araxie felt around for his hand on the rail. The darkness surrounded her on this freezing night. "Please, please don't let him have me. He can't know my secret. I'd be useless to him."

Hook looked at her intensely, "I'd never let him have you Araxie. You know that."

Araxie ducked her head, "I know. It's just, I'm terrified. If the secret that my father was so humiliated by was bad enough for him to keep me locked away from the world my whole life; what would he do if it got out? I'm an embarrassment."

"You can't believe that Araxie," Hook leaned over to her so she couldn't miss a word he said over the roaring waves, "Your father couldn't look past what makes you different.."

"Well I can't look past anything Captain. I'm blind." Araxie snapped at him.

"That changes nothing, Araxie. Your home is here now, on the Jolly Roger. The crew loves having you about, if anything happened to you they would be devastated. You're like their little sister. They don't care that you're blind, they know you could take them on in a fight anyday. You're special." Hook explained.

"Thank you Captain." Araxie nodded at him gratefully.

There was a long silence.

"The dawn is breaking, Araxie. You'd love it, you can see all of Neverland from here."

"I wish I could see it."
