Asher said his goodbyes to his parents, feeling both nervous and excited as he set off for college. "Bye, Mom and Dad. I'll make you proud," he promised with determination.
As he drove to campus, a mix of anticipation and jitters filled him. Upon arrival, the principal welcomed him warmly, marking the start of a new chapter. Asher tackled the entrance exam and grinned victoriously when he passed.
Receiving the key to his dorm, Asher eagerly went inside, only to spot Dave and instantly judge him. "What a mess," he thought to himself, eyeing Dave's messy hair.
Ignoring Dave, Asher focused on the dirty room, feeling frustrated. "Why is this place such a dump?" he exclaimed, annoyed.
Dave's laid-back response didn't help. "I forgot to clean," he admitted sheepishly, prompting Asher to take charge. Grabbing cleaning supplies, Asher got to work, determined to make the place livable.
Watching in awe, Dave admired Asher's cleaning skills. "Wow, you're good at this," he remarked, impressed.
They introduced themselves, Asher's attitude standoffish compared to Dave's friendliness. "Nice to meet you, I'm Dave," Dave said, offering his hand.
Reluctantly, Asher shook it. "Yeah, I'm Asher," he replied, sounding less than thrilled.
Their relationship evolved as they navigated college together. Asher's initial dislike for Dave softened as they spent more time together.
"Can you sit somewhere else?" Asher demanded in class, annoyed by Dave's presence.
But Dave persisted, explaining, "You're the only person I know here." His playful grin made it hard for Asher to stay mad.
Their differences became clear in class—Asher focused on studies while Dave dozed off.
"Why is he always sleeping?" Asher wondered, trying to wake Dave, which ended up getting them in trouble.
As Asher took the blame, Dave felt guilty but also grateful for his roommate's sacrifice.
"Don't sleep again, idiot," Asher scolded, showing a begrudging respect for Dave's remorse.
Outside of class, their friendship grew. From gaming sessions to shared laughter, they bonded over college life's chaos.
"Hey, you're going the wrong way!" Asher teased during their gaming nights, their laughter filling the room.
Their shared experiences turned animosity into camaraderie, and as they fell asleep, Asher felt grateful for their unexpected friendship.
But the next morning, Asher's peace was shattered when he realized he was late. "Daveee!" he shouted, rushing to make up for lost time.
