B2: Every monster is given a special crystal upon becoming an adult. This crystal is for said monster's future mate. A monster will pour their magic into the crystal so anyone will know who's crystal/mate it/they belong to/with. One partner will usually wear a bigger piece of their partner's crystal more openly, set in jewelry or a collar/choker. The other partner will usually wear a smaller piece of their partner's crystal in a more subtle way. Like set in a watch or pin. How this is decided is in a way that people who are very knowledgeable in the fanfiction community will know very well. If you don't preserve your innocence. Anyway, Mettaton would absolutely adore the idea of being bonded. Especially to you. He absolutely has already started to design your crystal jewelry the very second you two began to get serious. Mettaton would make it the most extravagant piece of your favorite kind of jewelry possible, to the degree you would be the most comfortable. However, if you gave him a bedazzled microphone with small crystals that glowed with your soul color all over it, Mettaton would immediately wrap you up in a tight hug.

S3: You met at a charity event! You were here because of three possible reasons. A) You came via your own free will, B) You were taking a younger sibling to the event or C) You were dragged here because you never go out by either friends, family or coworkers. How you got here isn't important, what is important is that this charity event was like a carnival with games, prizes, food and a certain robotic star would be in attendance to meet with fans. You get a chance to walk around alone, either you escaped your kidnappers/family/friends/coworkers, you came by yourself or your sibling found a craft workshop that was a few hours long. Either way, you soon spot a trivia game with extremely tempting prizes. You put down the amount needed to play and soon are extremely close to winning a gigantic plush of your favorite pokemon/animal. As you gain enough points to not only get the plush you desire but also a smaller prize. You thank the vendor and put your prizes in the tote bag you brought for prizes. Unknown to you a certain robot had noticed your performance and was impressed. Mettaton soon approached you and complimented your trivia skills. He offers his hand to shake and when you shake his hand you both blush brightly when you feel the signature feeling of a soulmate bond snap into place. Mettaton wanted to get to know you better immediately but he had a show to perform. You hear his manager call him to get ready, give him your phone number and wish him luck for his performance. You part ways both feeling rather giddy. (I may have let this one get away from me a bit.)
