''Alright kids, that's it for today". Mr.Graham finally says just as the bell rings.

Today has been a really long day and for no reason too. At that point I just wanna go home but unfortunately it is only lunchtime and I may or may not have promised Noah that I'll join him and the boys at the cafeteria.

I'm not feeling nervous about it anymore because I figured 'Who cares what Hailey and Sarah think anyway?' This is the mindset. At least for now. It'll probably change in like ten minutes once I actually arrive there but I should at least try and be cool about it.

I step into the cafeteria and what I've feared happens.

''Ava is here!!!". Noah is sudenlly shouting in front of everyone.

''Can you calm down. God, You saw me two hours ago. Hasn't been that long". I glare at him trying to contain my laugh. ''Don't be a bore, nobody is paying attention on us. It's fine. Sit with me". I look around to realize that he is right.

Everyone is already turning back to their food not giving a single sh*t about me being here and I'm kinda relieved.

''You're right. I should stop caring too. So, how was your day?". I ask finally sitting down next to him.

''Nothing special. We took a test in biology, which I was not properly prepared for so it didn't go really well but, who cares about biology? It's fine".

''I suppose you don't". Henry laughs at him, sitting accros of me. ''I actually did very good on that test. Don't know how but I did".

''Good for you, Henry. Nobody asked you though". Noah picks at him.

''Well, that was rude . I believe that it is helpful he's studing a bit more than last year to get his grades up. If that's the case and it wasn't  just his lucky day. I mean your'e all relying on soccer to get you into a university but, don't you want to have more options? If somethong doesn't turn out the way you thought it would? Because that's also a possibility". I join the conversation and Noah doesn't respond.

''Exactly, that's what I've been trying to say but they think it's a waist of time when we already have soccer as our main 'subject' to put all our effort on. Of course I want that scolarship but I also want to be sure I can get in, anywhere, without it". Henry is looking at me really relieved, probably because it is the first time he finds commmon ground with someone while talking about  this. Wes is also here but has been weirdly quiet till now.

''I believe it is way too late for me to start studying now but it would be great having another opportunity, I can agree on that. Anyway lets change the topic". Wes says unexpectydely fast seeming uncomfortable now.

''Umh, Ava what are you doing for Homecoming this year?". Noah now turns his attention on me.

''Cheering. For you and your team if you forgot". I giggle at him because it actually feels like he forgot about it.

''Oh right, what else could you be doing honestly. We, the soccer and cheer teams, are probably the only ones that won't need to dress up for the day. And I must admit I'm quite relieved". He jokes.

''I will probably go to the afterparty so I can't avoid the dressing up. The reason I need to go to the party is even better". I say nervously.

''Oh, I've forgot about the after party". Henry whines. ''Sorry Ava go on". I laugh at him before continuing.

''So, the seniors are gonna be off the team for the day, which means the team captain isn't going to be there. So, coach said that she's going to put me in charge of leading the dances and I don't think I'm ready. Everytime I think about it I wannt to have a panic attact. And I have to go to the party with them because everyone is really excited about it and want me to go as 'captain of the day' or something. So, yes I will be at that party. Unfortunately". I say in one breath not even looking them in  the eyes.
