Chapter 11- Asked Out

***Desiree's POV****
Since Friday I haven't talked to Sal and today was school. He chatted me up a few times abut I'm still trying to come to terms with myself that I rocked my best friend.

I sat on my bed as I scrolled through Instagram. I saw some clothes that I really like and sent an order for them.

So basically I'm doing online shopping. Today I just dressed simple, a red satin laced up mini dress and a black sandals.

I then looked at myself in the mirror and told myself that I definitely was an overdressed mode.

I just quickly rushed to my wardrobe and got out a summer floral casual dress that had a sexy spaghetti strap off shoulder and matched it with a black strappy sandals.

I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. We got to school in about thirty minutes. No, actually I got to school in thirty minutes.

I got in trying to avoid Sal as usual and just attend classes. And it worked.

As of now I'm at the cafeteria. I hadn't seen Sal and the rest since today.

I got into the cafeteria and saw people staring at me.

Okay, I didn't do much hair beautification, I just let my hair down. And as usual, no makeup just sunscreen and moisturizer and mascara and lip gloss.

I mean I look basically the same. So why were they staring.

My eyes met with Sal's and his looked red. It scared me. I turned to look at the girls, throwing them questioning gaze.

I saw all three of them pick up their phone, the sent me a message. We created a group chat for all four of us, so yeah.

Aurella: The hell girl.

Desiree: What?🧐🤔.

Claudia:Did you really say yes?.

Danielle: But you could have told Sal first about it.

Desiree: Okay. I'm not even gonna lie, but I don't understand what the fuck you guys yapping 'bout.🧐🤔🤔.
Explain, Goddamit 🙄☹️☹️.

Aurella:You don't know?.

Desiree: Know what?

Claudia: Derek posted in the group chat for the whole school how you guys are a couple. There was a picture of both of you entering Cali's party holding hands.🤯🤯.

Danielle: It truly looked like you guys had something.

Desiree:Excuse me?. Derek never asked me out and plus we were coming into the party because he gave me a ride and plus also if I was to date a guy, hell it wouldn't be Derek. He's a overused dick.😡😡😡.

Claudia: Okay. Chill girl. What do you mean he picked you up for the party?.

Danielle: Yeah. I thought Sal was picking you up 🤔🤔.

Desiree: Sal said that he needed to pick Erica up so I told him not to worry. Derek offered to give me a ride but before I could protest he already walked away after giving me his number.🤦🤦🤦. This is so confusing.

Aurella: Better work things out with Sal 'cause he's really mad,😡😡😡😡🤬🤬.

The conversation ended. I face palmed myself.
