Chapter 34- Attacked and Killed

***Salvatore's POV**
I waited for Des in my car for like an entire day till I got a call from her mom asking me where she was.

I rushed to their house and then I met her mom and her brother and her parents.
They all agreed to wait until tomorrow and if she wasn't found then we will organize a search party.

I went home calling her line but to no avail. I saw my mom in the kitchen and then i broke down.

"Hello carino". My mom said in her full Mexican accent.
"Mom. I can't find Des and her line hasn't been going through through out today". I said, almost in tears.

"She'll be fine love. Okay?. Your dad is here. He just returned". She said kissing my forehead.

"I'll go greet him". I say, going upstairs to greet my father.
"Dad?". I said as I found him in his closet.

"Son. How you doing?. School?". He said hugging me.
"School's fine but....you know that girl that you know the Terso called cheap. She's kinda not answering my calls and it's pushing me off". I said in all honesty.

"You love her?. Don't you?". He said, completely ignoring almost everything I just said.

"No and no. Dad she's my best friend ". I said.

He just looked at me and at that point I started doubting that answer.

Did I love her?.

"I will answer that for you. Yes. Listen son, I'll be that last person that will impose a woman on you. I know better than to do that. So be truthful to yourself and take her before someone else does, because it will hurt ". He said looking at me dead in my eyes.

"Thank dad. Goodnight ".
"Goodnight son".

I left.

I get where my dad is coming from. My mom nearly got married. It was two weeks to her marriage and my dad came.

They were together but my dad thought that it wouldn't work, and he nearly lost my mom to another man and I swear that that was the first and last time my dad was truly scared.

I went to my room and I took a shower and dress in a white baggy sweatshirt and a baggy joggers.

I sat on my bed and then my phone rang it was Des calling. But before I could pick up the call ended and when I wanted to call back, she sent a text.

Des: Meet me at the Grey Park in twenty. I'm sorry I disappeared on you in school.

Me:Sure, I'll meet you there and don't bother about that it's fine. See you in twenty✌️❤️.

I quickly left the house telling my mom where I was going to and that Des wanted to meet up.

Soon I got to Grey's park and I sat by the swing waiting for her. Soon I heard footsteps and before I could turn around, I felt a knife been driven from my back.

First stab. Second stab. Third stab.

I couldn't breathe. I was become harder to keep my eyes open.

I mustered up the strength to turn around and see who did it and there he was.

Harden.

I held my tummy, my white sweatshirt turned red. He turned around and entered his car and drove off.

Leaving me there to bleed out.

I managed to take my phone from my pocket and then I dialed my mom's number.

"Mom", I said raspy.
"Salvatore?. Son, what, what, why are you sounding like this?". My mom said on verge of panicking.

"Mom. I am dying. Please call the ambulance". I said and passed out.

That was it. I passed out thinking of Des and if she was okay.

***Desiree's POV****
I stood up after Harden left and looked for a phone.
I soon saw an old satellite phone in the kitchen old cabinet. I called the police.

"Please. I've been kidnapped". I said hurriedly.
"Soory ma'am please calm down. Where are you?". A woman on the other end spoke.

"I don't know. I seriously don't know. Please help me". I said crying.
"Okay miss please calm down. I'll track your number and get your location okay?. Please stay on the line for at least one minute". She said and soon I started hearing keyboard click.

I stood there still on the line. Breathing.

Soon I heard keys.

"Ma'am he's back. Please. Help me". I said hurriedly.
"What's his name, miss?".

"Harden. Harden Heis".
"And what's yours?"

"Desiree. Desiree Dion". I said and ended the call.

I quickly went back to the bed and sat still with my chains on.
Soon he got inside and then, he yanked me up and slapped me across the face.

He dragged me to the other room he kept me in.
"Did you think I would know if you made a phone call?. Huh?. Who did you want to call?. That worthless guy, Salvatore?. I'm sorry but you won't see him anymore. I killed him". He said laughing maniacally.

"And you are next because if I can't have you no one will". He said and soon I felt a sting in my stomach.

Bastard stabbed me.

First, second, third.

And soon I was coughing out blood. I also heard the police car.

I soon heard the police come in. She got my location.

"Step away from her, Mr. Heis". The first officer said.

I saw Harden trying to run away.

"Stop and put your hands in the air". They said again.

Harden brought out a gun, shot at me and this earned him a bullet on his hand and then he shot at an officer.

Then they all fired.

In my front, my eyes. Harden laid there lifeless.

And soon I passed out.

Was Salvatore okay?. What of my mom?.

This thought got me to keep my eyes open. And I was rushed into an ambulance.

Soon we got to the hospital after and then I was rushed into the operating room.

And soon I was unconscious.
