Chapter 5

~ 3rd Person POV~

"Maybe I should go and tell him that I'm sorry" Jungkook thought as he sat on a bench outside of their college. Jungkook was contemplating if he should go and apologize to Taehyung. His mind didn't stop him from thinking about how rude to was to the male

"Taehyung has a personality outside of being a cheerleader," Jungkook thought about Yoongi's words. His best friend was never wrong. Yoongi was right, Taehyung did have a personality outside of being a cheerleader and not everyone is like that. Not everyone is the same

Jungkook was never mean to anyone so he doesn't know why his mood drops when he sees Taehyung

Maybe he was generalizing cheerleaders a little too much. Taehyung has a life and a personality outside of being a cheerleader so maybe Jungkook was in the wrong this time. Maybe he misjudged him. Maybe he was wrong

But what if someone of a current group hit on you until you wanted to stay away from them. What if everyone on the football team tried to get in your pants and someone who was a part of that team tries to be nice to you. Do you think you'd actually try and talk to them?

Jungkook didn't talk to people on the cheerleading team because they will try to get in his pants and tries to get him in bed. But here Taehyung was, trying to be nice to him but Jungkook was being mean to him

" Who are you cutie?" a voice from beside him said . Jungkook took his eyes off of his book and looked over to see a girl in a cheerleading outfit. This is exactly what he was talking about. This has EXACTLY why he was being mean

Here we go again

" Um..hello, " Jungkook said as he looked back at his book. Wishing this girl would just go away and let him alone. Jungkook didn't want to talk to this girl, he was just hoping that she would just leave him the hell alone

" What's your name babyboy ?" she said as she moved closer to him. Jungkook looked down at his book, his leg shaking with anticipation because he was getting extremely uncomfortable. He didn't like this at all

" I-it's Jungkook...I-I'm r-really b-busy," Jungkook said as he started to struggle to form a proper sentence. He didn't want to be rude but, he needed this girl to go away

This is exactly what happens when Jungkook talks to people that he doesn't know

" I'm sure you can make a little time for me can't you?" She said as he reached for his hand and he got up from the bench. He was on the verge of crying

" I-I have to g-go," He said as he grabbed his backpack. The girl frowned at him and chased after him. Her uniform looked like it had been cut to seem even shorter

" What's wrong? Are you a little shy? Don't worry, I like them shy Babyboy..." she said as she placed her hand on his chest, her body pressing against his

These are the exact reasons why Jungkook doesn't like cheerleaders or being around them. Too many of them are like this. Too many of being wanted to get in his pants because he was just quiet and shy. He didn't like it

It must have been a strike of faith because Taehyung was walking by them. He saw the awkwardness and discomfort on Jungkook's face

Taehyung looked at both of them. He was going to walk to the dining hall until he saw the new girl on the team pressing her body against Jungkook's . The shy male looked like he was on the verge of having a panic attack

"Taehyung, do something"

" Taehyung this isn't your business "

" Taehyung, help him"

" Taehyung walk away "

So many things were wandering in his mind. He didn't know what he should even do. Jungkook was being a little mean to him but that didn't mean that Taehyung didn't want to help the boy when he needed it. He was visibly uncomfortable

"Do it"

He walked over to him and pulled on Jungkook's arm. The older male smiled and winked at him. He was going to try and fake like he was Jungkook's boyfriend so that this girl could just get away from him or leave him alone

" Hey babe, how are you? I missed you " Taehyung said as he wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck. His hands running Jungkook's neck. The black-haired boy looked at him confusingly and he widened his eyes, realizing what Taehyung was trying to do. He was helping him

" H-hey...I'm good T-Tae " Jungkook said nervously. The girl pouted her lips and looked at him

" Wait, you guys are together?" she asked and Taehyung nodded his head. " Yes, we are a couple, isn't that right baby? " Taehyung asked and Jungkook nodded his head. He shakily placed his hands on Taehyung's waist

" Y-yes...w-we a—are a couple.." Jungkook said while looking at him nervously. He couldn't even make eye contact with Taehyung. Of course, this was just fake but Taehyung was so close to him. They were so close

Once they both saw that the girl was out of sight, they both pulled away from each other

" I'm sorry about her. That's Abby, one of the new cheerleaders, she's a bit of a flirt " Taehyung said while laughing a little. He was glad he could help Jungkook

" T-thank you..." Jungkook said shyly as he looked down at his feet. he was playing with his sleeves and Taehyung smiled a little because he found it cute

" don't mention it. I saw you were a little uncomfortable...I just wanted to help" Taehyung said and Jungkook nodded his head. They stood there for a little while until Taehyung thought about what Yoongi said. Yoongi said that Jungkook don't have space so he needed to leave Jungkook alone

" Leave him alone, don't make him uncomfortable, " Taehyung thought. He made Jungkook way too uncomfortable in the past two days and he didn't want to do it once again. Jungkook didn't deserve it

" Well, see you around..."Taehyung said while smiling. He didn't want to pressure Jungkook into talking to him so he wasn't going to stalk or talk to him

He simply was just going to mind his business and then maybe things will get better when Jungkook is comfortable around him. Other than that, he wasn't going to force the shy boy to talk to him. He wasn't that type of person

" W-wait" Jungkook said while he reached for his hand. Taehyung turned around and looked at him with a confused face. " What is it?" Taehyung asked the younger male

" I-I'm sorry for h-how I acted...I-I didn't mean to sound rude towards you and I-I'm sorry, " Jungkook said while looking at his feet. He was very ashamed about how he acted towards Taehyung. It wasn't right

" I-I know I shouldn't g-generalize cheerleaders but I-I have a bad rep w-ith them...but that doesn't give m-me a r-right to be cold t-towards you...and for that, I'm r-really sorry," Jungkook said quietly

Taehyung gave him a soft and gentle smile. " Hey, it's okay. Yoongi told me about your situations with cheerleaders so I could understand why you feel the way you do " Taehyung said while smiling a little

" I'm not upset, I was just a little confused but I wasn't upset at you so don't worry, I'm not mad at you, " Taehyung said while giving him a bright smile

His smile made Jungkook feel better almost immediately

" Well, have a good rest of the day Jungkook, " Taehyung said and he was about to walk away until Jungkook stopped him

" W-wait, I feel a-as if I-I need to repay you...I-is there anything that I-I can do?" Jungkook said and Taehyung nodded his head no

" You don't need to do anything, I just wanted to help"

" N-no but really....w-what can I-I to repay you...then we can forget it...if you want" Jungkook softly

" Yoongi is taking Jimin to the movies tomorrow night...maybe we could go together...not l-like a date or anything but I don't want to be third-wheeling, " Taehyung said while laughing a little

Jungkook smiled a little and nodded his head. If he was in Taehyung's place, he wouldn't want to be third-wheeling with Yoonmin either

" S-sure, I'll c-come with y-ou "
