I wasn't sure what I expected when I let this little lady in. Scratch that. I was expecting a young teen to ask for help like this job entailed me. But, well...

"I went to the sanctum tower to ask for your phone number, but they didn't even have it! Don't you think, as a teacher, you should give us a way to reach you!" Here I am being yelled at by said teen. Honestly I don't know when she started yelling since I've decided to zone out. But I decided to begrudgingly half listen. I don't want to repeat what I did to Rin. "Secondly you aren't even dressed properly! You're wearing raggedy clothes that make it look like you just crawled out of a dumpster!" That's a good point she just made sadly I really could care less. It's also a good thing I cleaned the bullet hole on my shirt. It probably would've been bad if she saw that blood.

"So with everything said what do you have to say for yourself?" I turn left to face her after that statement. Her disapproving face was funny looking.

"I honestly couldn't care less." When faced with an angry lady no matter the age, honesty is the best policy! Since they can smell deception from a mile away after all.

"Excuse me Sensei, I don't think I heard you properly." Her voice takes a rather dangerous edge? Or rather an attempt at sounding threatening.

"You heard me young lady, your ears work." I say while opening the door to the stairwell up to the main office. Before I can open it all the way I feel a sharp tug on my ear.

"Sensei if you act like that you'll lose your job." This is assault, assault I say! No, it's physical abuse!

"Ow, ow , ow stop please!" Instead of stopping she began pulling even harder. Why are you angered by my answer about caring!? "Pulling my ear won't solve anything!" Luckily my words got through to her and she let go. I rubbed my poor ear and watched her walk ahead towards the flight of stairs. "Besides I'm not the actual teacher of this place, I'm a substitute." No point in pretending after all, I'll be gone when the actual teacher gets here.

"That doesn't change anything! You're still responsible for the duties you've been assigned." What a curious teenager. From my hazy memories, younger me couldn't care worth a damn for responsibilities. Or tell anyone that they're responsible for duties they've been given. In fact, the younger me hated his obligations. But here she is talking about being responsible for a position I have no clue how I got.

"Yes I am, but duties forced upon one is an obligation not a responsibility. Obligations are more of a shackle." I state as we walk up the stairs.

"I suppose you're right." She quieted down after our dialogue. Seems she's contemplating something currently. But I don't pry, probably not for me know in all honesty.

"Umm so about your number, could I trouble you to share it with me?" She asks while taking out her own phone. Huh Rin wasn't kidding, her phone looks a lot like mine. Just more advanced.

"Oh yeah I'll give it to you." I give her my number and have her shoot me a text. A simple hello to confirm the number. Even though we aren't using the same texting app it still works. Her message bubble comes up as a pink. Must be because of the app she's using.

After the test to see if we can contact each other we return to silence. I simply look at the floor signs as we go up them. We're currently on floor five. I wonder which floor the main office is on?
"So may I ask you a question, Sensei?" She asks.

"Shoot, also call me a substitute. It feels weird you calling me Sensei." I put my hands in my pockets.

"Okay, well substitute, when will Sensei arrive?" When she asks I ponder. You know I have no clue, in fact I don't think Rin even knows I'm a substitute.
