My name is Cobalt I was born in the Smocky Mountains with my mother Garnet she was the best mother any filly or colt could have. The place I was born at was beautiful it was dotted with yellow, pink, blue and purple flowers and the grass was so soft and green and the mountains were so big i loved it there also I met another colt named Prancer we were the best of friends Prancer tought me how to tolt tolting is when you trot like a saddle bred tolting was fun much more fun then just trotting one day my mother told me "lets go my little Cobalt we must move with the herd" I did not  want to leave it was beautiful here but we had too or we would be all alone with no other horse around here so we moved south were it would be wormer in the winter we travled very long on the way me and Prancer tolted and galloped and canterted every gate you could think of also we even made up our own gates! A few days later we saw a stream we were so happy to see it we went to go get a sip of water we slep there for the night so we could get hydrated. Morning came and we ate some grass and fresh apples on the trees then we got a big drink of water and we moved on while we were walking we saw things on horse back the  had two legs and the talked but i could not understand them really i asked my mother who they were she said "they are called people and they are here to take us so they can ride us in the winter but they will return us when summer comes" i did not worry about it the horses looked nicely treated and happy i saw one little girl her name was 'Amma' she pointed at me and tould her father "look at the dappled grey one daddy he is so pretty!" he dad smiled and looked at my mother and said "i see you have given us a foal for the winter we will be taking him home with us Garnet" then the man gentely came up to me with a rope and put it around my neck and then fed me a apple then i took me south and led me to a barn were lots of horses, pigs, sheep roamed they were in a fence though i asked a mare what am i here for she tould me "we are here to work for our masters intill summer then he will return us to our herd" her name was Bell she was so nice she was like a second mother i spent most of my time with her intill years later i was grown i was tired of staying there for some reason they would not let me out in the summer i decided to leave and find my herd then i told Bell i was going to find my herd i know miss me so jumped i over the wall and ran to my herd.
