"I will now like to present to you the class of 2024!" The dean of Atlanta Technical college said on the mic in front of all the graduates and their families.

All the graduates stood up from their seats and shouted as they tossed their caps up in the air.

Today was a very special day for Karson.

She had just earned her associates degree in nursing meaning she was now on her path to become a RN.

A couple years ago she decided to go back to school after she took a year off from college the first time.

She wanted to become a doctor at first but after having a lot of time to think about what she wanted to do with her life she started over again.

Just this time pacing her self and putting her mental health first.

She felt like technical school was a more better fit for her because it was directly focusing on her and the field she wanted to learn in.

Not more so extra classes that she wasn't going to need when she graduated.

"I did it, I can't believe I did it." Karson mumbled to her self smiling hard as she walked outside to find her family.

"I'm so fucking proud of you!" Tyrell spotted her and he picked her up spinning her around.

"You did it baby!" Tyrell placed Karson down and kissed her cheek.

"My daughter is a got damn nurse! I know that's right!" Her mother smiled crying with tears streaming from her face as she hugged Karson.

They hugged for a while as they was rocking back and forth.

"My sister a nurse ahhh!" Kaylee smiled as she joined in the hug.

With out the help of Karson's mother and Tyrell by her side she thought she would have to do hair her whole life to make a living.

That's something Karson wouldn't have minded but she just couldn't make that a everyday type of thing. 

She loved the medical field and always had a passion for it.

Growing up her mom always would make her watch greys anatomy while she got her hair done.

That played in a part of her wanting to become a doctor.

She felt it was intriguing how amazing one person could help save so many lives.

"I'm very proud of you!" James spoke as he side hugged Karson.

"Thanks!" Karson said back as he handed her a stack of money.

James was her mom's boyfriend. They've been together for almost 2 years now.

They were close friends growing up.

He was a good guy and he respected and loved Karson and her sister like they were his own.

When Kaylee had events going on at school he stepped in when their mother wasn't able to and he always helped around the house.

He paid the bills and he also spoiled the girls.

James wasn't no stranger he was always around he just didn't know what was actually happening in the home with Karson's mom and her ex boyfriend.

I guess because she always was embarrassed that she let what happen go on for to long.

"Karson stand right here so I can take your picture baby!" Tylah, Tyrell's mom said as she backed up.
