Third Person's POV
As the evening wore on, Lucas found himself surrounded by the cozy warmth of the royal family's living room, the soft glow of the television casting flickering shadows across the room as they settled in to watch movies with the children.
Louis, ever the energetic young prince, had insisted on a double feature of Disney classics, and soon they were engrossed in the magical worlds of "Encanto" and "Coco."
As the movies played, Lucas and Leonor took turns keeping an eye on the children, ensuring they were comfortable and entertained.
Sofia, too, joined in the fun, her laughter mingling with the voices of the others as they watched the enchanting tales unfold onscreen.
As the night wore on, the children began to grow tired, their eyelids drooping as they succumbed to the gentle embrace of sleep.
Lucas gently tucked them into bed, ensuring they were snug and cozy before bidding them goodnight.
But as he turned to leave, he noticed that Sofia had also fallen asleep, her delicate features softened in the glow of the moonlight.
Sensing that she needed to rest, Lucas made his way over to her, his heart fluttering with a mixture of tenderness and longing.
Leonor approached him, her expression filled with gratitude and concern.
Leonor politely asked, "Lucas, could you help me with Sofia? Our parents need to speak with me, and I don't want to disturb her."
Lucas nodded in understanding, his arms already reaching out to lift Sofia from her slumber. Leonor immediately left after asking Lucas leaving Sofia with the Prince. She knew that Sofia was in good hands with him, his gentle demeanor and unwavering strength providing comfort in a moment of uncertainty.
As Lucas carried Sofia to her bed, he couldn't help but be acutely aware of her presence, her warmth seeping into his every pore as he held her close.
Her soft breaths brushed against his neck, sending shivers down his spine as he navigated the dimly lit hallway with careful steps.
Sofia stirred slightly, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she nestled closer to him, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck in a gesture of trust and comfort.
Lucas couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion at the intimacy of the moment, his heart skipping a beat as he felt Sofia's warm breath against his skin.
As they reached Sofia's room, Lucas carefully lowered her onto the bed, his heart fluttering with a mixture of emotions as he tucked the blankets around her sleeping form. Sofia stirred slightly, her lips parting in a soft murmur as she snuggled deeper into the covers, tucking the blankets around her with gentle precision.
As he gazed down at her sleeping form, a sense of peace washed over him, his heart filled with a quiet contentment he hadn't felt in years.
"Goodnight, Bourbon." Lucas whispered under his breath
With a final glance at the sleeping princess, Lucas quietly exited the room, his mind buzzing with thoughts of the moments they had shared that evening.
Despite the fleeting nature of their interactions, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special between them, something worth exploring further.
As he made his way back to his own room, the memory of Sofia's embrace lingered in his mind, filling him with a sense of warmth and longing that he couldn't quite explain.
And as he drifted off to sleep that night, he couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them, and if perhaps, just perhaps, their paths were destined to intertwine once more.
