Previous chapter:

Edmund got his food from Agatha and came over to me quickly, making me roll my eyes in annoyance for the hundredth time today.

He sits down across from me, staring at me with a determined look on his face.

"What do you want?" I ask as I cross my arms and lean back into my chair.

"To make a deal"

--------------------------------------

"What kind of deal?" I ask as I look at the boy across from me who just had to have a smug look on his face. "And do you ever stop smirking?"

"Not really, sweetheart, I've gotten to find out that girls love my smirk, it's a huge turn on"

"Answer the question, edmund." I interrupt in disgust, not wanting to hear the rest of that.

"I will if you say please and stop with the attitude," he replied, giving me his most sinister smirk yet.

I give him a glare, but immediately drop it, telling myself it's completely immature of me, I look at him with a straight face, as I prepare to say the words that were about to slip from my tongue.

"Please answer the question, Edmund" I say politely, but we both knew that my Patience with him was fading. It was so hard to have a nice conversation with him, if he wasn't running his mouth, he was using it every second to smirk at me.

Oh, how I wanted to smack that smirk off of his face.

"A deal that I know you won't take"

"That's not an answer, pevensie, and how do you know I won't?"

"We may not be besties, l/n, but I know you, and I know you won't take it"

"Try me"

"I want us to fake date," he says calmly, putting his hands together as he leaned over the table and looked dead at me with an unreadable expression on his face.

Before he could say more, The sip of juice I had just taken a moment before flew out of my mouth and onto his face as my jaw drops in shock.

"Gross! The worst you could have said is no, y/n!" He exclaimed in disgust, grabbing a napkin and wiping his face and shirt.

"Disgusting," he muttered.

"Repeat that again, Edmund, I don't think I heard you clearly the first time." I tell him, laughing nervously hoping that what he said before was just my imagination and not reality.

Because I cannot picture Edmund asking us to date, nor fake date, for that matter.

"I want us to fake date, and if you accept, then I'll be a gentleman to you from now on"

"Is this a joke, or something?" I ask, my eyebrow raising as I look at him, this has to be a game or something, or maybe he was dared to do this, yeah, yeah, that's it.

"No, it's not, I'm serious about this, love"

I ignore the 'love' that he said at the end, and take a breath, going into deep thought about this.

"Why do you want to fake date? What's in it for you?" I question him, finding this extremely weird and confusing.

"I need to know if the rumor is true"

"What rumor?"

"The rumor that you're immune to me"

"Immune- what??" I say completely confused, what on earth was this boy talking about?

"Every girl here either likes me, obsesses over me, or is in love with me, except you. People seem to think that you are Immune to falling In love with me, and I need to know if you are"

"And why is that? Why does it matter? Sorry that I'm not attracted to immature teenage boys, but I'm more into gentleman."

"So, you're saying that you're not attracted to me?"

"Yep"

"Not even a little bit?" He questioned, not believing me.

"Nope"

lies.

"Are you sure about that? Because I think you're lying to me"

"Well, you're wrong, pevensie"

No, he isn't.

"Do you accept the deal or not?"

"Not yet, you still haven't answered my question."

"What question?"

"Why does it matter that I'm the only girl in this school that doesn't like you?"

"Well, you're not the only girl, I have my sister's, and if they liked me that'd be really we-"

"Please do not put that into my head!" I cover my face, shaking my head as I try to forget what he just said.

"Y/n, please, I need to know" he pleaded, I uncovered my face, looking for his, when I found it, our eyes met, my heartbeat quickened as we just looked at each other.

I searched his eyes, trying to see if he was serious or not, he had this certain look, it was a pleading look, mixed with something else, but I couldn't find out what.

he was really serious about this, and I didn't know if I liked it or not. I sigh, knowing the answer already, if I didn't know any better, I'd say I had a small crush on Edmund pevensie, but nope! I don't, I hate him, he hates me, there's nothing there, he may be super cute, super hot, and his eyes may be the most beautiful brown I've ever seen, but I'm not interested in him, not even a little bit.

Not to mention his voice, and his accent, okay, what is going on!

"Y/n?" He said quietly, waving his hand In front of my face.

I snap out of whatever the hell that was and give him a small smile.

"Okay, I'll do it, but on my terms, we got a few things to discuss, pevensie"

"You've got my attention, l/n"

End of chapter.

A/n: whoo!
