(Y/n) woke up feeling dizzy however they were warm which made them think the previous events were just a dream but this soon changed when a voice called out saying, "Oh. You are awake, how are you doing." (Y/n) looked up seeing a long red nosed mask looking over at them.
(Y/n) jumped up but winced a bit and lowered themselves again they waited a second before sitting up properly, "What is your name child?" the stranger waited as the other stared at the mask.
Quickly realizing that it was a bit rude to stare they stumbled out a short reply "Oh- uhm (Y/n) what about you..?" (Y/n) thought perhaps they were still dreaming as the stranger stayed silent before saying, "Sakonji Urokodaki" he replied his voice was quite deep and a little rough sounding.
Wait Urokodaki? Wait... red mask, blue haori.. hang on a minute.
Am I- IN DEMON SLAYER!? NO WAY- That would mean.. This is Urokodaki Sensei! But if I am here where in the timeline am I..?
"N-Nice to meet you.. Thanks for helping me." (Y/n) responded trying to keep their composure as they both fell into an awkward silence. "So- what year is it..?" The poor (Y/n) asked, if it was was 1912 then it should be around the start of the series however if its any thing later then Nezuko and Tanjiro had already been here.
"1912." Urokodaki replied bluntly placing some logs into the fire place, (Y/n) sighed quietly this meant Muzan was still here- AND TANJIRO AND NEZUKO HADN'T COME YET- okay at least they knew the year calm down (Y/n).
So it was most likely either a little into the anime or a bit before the anime, "how old are you (Y/n)." Urokodaki asked still not facing them. "I'm 13 sir." they replied almost immediately- hey they were excited okay! "How did you get here...?" Now he was facing them.
The nearest town was a long while away so seeing somebody come by was rare to him, this was when (Y/n) realized that they could possibly intervene with the plot. I get people would try avoid it but it was kind of hard not to at least be curious.
They pondered, they could either lie or say the truth.
Should I lie... hang on the question here is would they believe if I said the truth?
I suppose saying you had just woken up here, after being transported from a separate world where you are a just a cartoon and book series isn't the most believable statement.
I guess I'll need to lie..
"M-My family.. were attacked by a demon.. My father managed to kill it but- he collapsed due to his injuries.." (Y/n) explained trying to muster as much emotion into their face and voice, which was actually working- thanks drama class you did your part! "Th-They told me to run... they said the blood would attract more.." The younger had teary eyes, no it wasn't acting (Y/n) was just were upset from coming to the realization that they weren't going to see their family again most likely..
(Y/n) felt a hand pat their head as some tears slip from their eyes as they looked up, seeing Urokodaki attempting to be comforting as he patted your head. I guess he bought it...
"I have a question for you child.."
