"I was working in my office when my mind again run to yesterday evening incident
Flashback to yesterday evening
"Oh so our princess is going to to be sixteen in after the day tomorrow, waah!! Elders are right when they say that daughters grow up very quickly."
I was checking some mails in living room with my dad who is busy with upcoming project file when I heard maa talking to someone on phone call.
"Hmm" She sat down on sofa beside dad.
"Really that's great okay then I will do all arrangements. "
"Ok I promise no great party it's just you me our husband and our princess, hmm. "
Our princess I see. I thought to myself while my eyes fix on the screen.
"Fine then I will book the restaurant for little celebration and don't you dare to say no she is my daughter too You are the one who always says it, right? "
"Ok then love you bestie muaah. " Giggling to herself she cut the call before speaking to dad
"Vijay will you please book a best five star no no seven star restaurant for the day after tomorrow. "
"Sure Shree I will but for what. "
"Oh you know Soumya, her husband Prashant has been transferred here in this city."
Soumya, maa best friend or you say besti. I met her once when I was 5 or 6.
" Oh so this is for his trasfer party. "
"No this party is for her daughter's birthday you remember her right. "
"Obviously I do Shree she such a sweetheart. " I can feel adoration in my parents voice for a certain girl.
"You know it's her sixteen birthday soumya said she wants to do something special for her as our princess is upset cause she again has to leave her school and friend due to Prashant transfer so I told her that her birthday arrangements will be done by me not too much just we and them, what say. "
Ok so that certain girl is actually a little girl.
"No need to ask me just order me and i will do according to your will. " My father is literally cheesy man and i know without looking mom's face must have turned red right now.
" And Karan--"
"No maa I will be busy so I don't think I can make up to attend some birthday's party." I cut her off Before she say something.
"Who is inviting you I was saying that they are coming till tomorrow's evening I will go and pick them up by my own and they are going to live here for some days untill the house given by the government is cleaned so i want you to talk with them with smile or they will think my son is rude one.
My mouth remained open while looking at my mom's statement.
I thought she was going to tell me to come with them but she clearly said that I am not invited.
"Ok but why the hell I have to smile at them. "
"Cause she is my besti and her husband that's why. "
"But she is your friend maa not mine. " I asked not getting the point to smile at her friend. Hell I didn't even remember if I ever smile at my friend.
"Look vijay how your son arguing with me. " She complained to dad while I stared at her in disbelief.
