❤︎Neither of them said anything for a few moments, Junho waiting for her response, not backing down from his words, and Yoona assimilating the invitation and the possible implications of it.
"If it's not okay with you, I can call my manager to take you-"
"Yes, I do," she hastened to respond. Yoona had been surprised by his request, but she in no way disliked the idea. For a moment Junho believed that her lack of response would be a denial, so she smiled to reassure him and with a firmer voice she clarified: "I do want to stay with you."
"Good," he smiled back at her, more relieved than he wanted to let on. They spent a few moments like that, holding hands. Then, as if he remembered something important, Junho continued, "Come, you need to dry your hair."
Without letting go of her hand, Junho directed her towards his bedroom. At first, it was not a big deal, but with each step, Yoona's calm changed to nervousness when reality hit her when she was inside Junho's bedroom because, in his apartment, the bedroom was the most intimate place.
It wasn't the first time Yoona was there, but it was precisely that -and remembering the reason for her previous visits- that made her feel so aware of it.
She stifled a snort, mentally berating herself. Don't worry, he is sick, and nothing like that is going to happen...
"Here," oblivious to his girlfriend's thoughts, Junho handed her the dryer. She nodded, thanking him, and heading towards the closest connection, with him following behind her. "Should I help you?"
"Sure." Yoona accepted, letting herself go again. Immediately the warm air blew over her hair and she closed her eyes at Junho's soft and dedicated touch with her hair.
Once again, she felt calm. And if she thought about it carefully, there was no reason to have any other type of expectations. It was obvious that the invitation to stay had been an impulse because Yoona knew that Junho didn't usually make those kinds of requests; It was important to him that their relationship be one where they both felt comfortable without demanding something that could be problematic for the other. He was quite considerate, she liked that about him too.
Anyway, their plans for the next day were to meet at her apartment and eat together, so this wasn't that different. Above all, Yoona wouldn't make Junho go out when he was sick -even if he was out of bed, he hadn't fully recovered, he was still coughing a little and his voice was hoarse.
It was true what Yoona had told him before: she cared about him, and she wanted to do what she could to help him feel better. So, she put aside her unfitting thoughts and continued enjoying the attention of her boyfriend.
"There," he said as he rearranged some strands of her hair. In his eyes, the adoration was evident. "I better take a shower now."
Yoona almost choked on her saliva.
"Oh? W-why?"
Junho was quick, and he managed to grab her arm before she stumbled. "Do you feel dizzy?"
Was I wrong? Are we really going to...?
"Yoona?" He called her worried.
"I'm fine, I just didn't come prepared for that and you're still sick, I don't think we should..." Yoona stammered, a little distressed. Furthermore, it was difficult for her to hold Junho's gaze, who was completely attentive to her, and that only made her feel more embarrassed. She didn't have to feel this way, she knew, but she still couldn't help it.
