Lani sighed, it had been a long day, and she couldn't wait to get home. She opened the front door and stepped in-
"Lani!" She felt her feet being lifted a few inches off the ground, her girlfriend greeted her with a tight hug, "Tired?"
"Yea," Lani smiled, placing her staff against the wall, "but I'll manage."
"Oh come on, you can rest. It's not illegal or something." Kaliyah said, taking Lani's hand as she led her into the living room.
"So! How was your day?" Lani said, flopping onto the couch.
Kaliyah laughed, "Typical. I was just about to ask you that question but you were just a few seconds ahead of me." She sat down beside Lani and wrapped her into a hug again.
"Kaliyah, i need to make dinner."
"Dinner can wait, you can do that later, can't you?"
