The Next DayY/n's Pov:
The morning sunlight streamed through the windows as I hurried to the college, my mind set on not being late. Detention was something I despised, and I had no intention of starting the day with a scolding from any professor. As I entered the classroom, I noticed the familiar buzz of chatter, but it quickly died down as Mr. Kim stepped in. His presence commanded silence, and just like that, everyone’s attention shifted to him.
I took my usual seat, pulling out my notebook, trying to focus on the lecture. Yet, I could feel his eyes on me, not just the occasional glance but something more persistent. My annoyance grew with each stolen look. What was he trying to see? Did he think I wouldn’t notice?
It wasn’t just his gaze that bothered me—it was the way all the girls in the class seemed to swoon over him, their eyes glued to every movement he made. They were practically drooling, and it disgusted me. But what bothered me more was how, despite their longing stares, his eyes kept returning to me. It made me uncomfortable, and I glared at him, hoping he’d get the message. I wasn’t interested, not in him and not in the attention.
The lecture dragged on, and the tension between Mr. Kim and the other students heightened. Some shot daggers at me with their eyes, as if it was my fault he didn’t pay them any attention. Did I look like I cared? I kept my face expressionless, but inside, my frustration simmered.
Finally, the bell rang, a sound that brought relief to everyone. The students, who had been barely awake during the lecture, sprang to life, ready to escape the confines of the classroom. I started packing my books, eager to move on to the next class when Mr. Kim’s voice cut through the chatter.
"Since I'm new here, I would like to know your feedback on my lectures. Or maybe if I should change my teaching style," he said, his tone a mix of authority and mild amusement. "You can also write about the ups and downs of my lectures. If you're not interested in revealing your name in the feedback, it's totally fine. You can give your feedback to me directly or leave it on my desk when I'm away. I'll read it." His eyes scanned the room, pausing on each student before adding with a small smile, "Thank you to those who listened to my lecture. And all the best to those who slept in my class. Because who knows—you may fail the exams if you don't pay attention." With that, he walked out, leaving behind a mixture of nervous laughter and guilty looks.
**Time Skip to Evening**
The day passed in a blur of classes and notes, but my mind kept drifting back to the morning lecture. I couldn’t shake the feeling that Mr. Kim had something to say to me, something beyond his usual teacherly duties. But what could it be? The thought nagged at me until my phone vibrated, pulling me out of my reverie.

My irritation flared as I stared at the phone screen. Who did he think he was, ordering me around like that? A part of me wanted to just walk away, leave him waiting for a response that would never come. But then, the thought of him telling the principal—of me having to explain myself to that old hag—stopped me in my tracks. Maybe it was safer to wait, just this once.
