THE KEY TO UNLOCK WATTPAD || How To Get Reads

1 - WHY ISN'T IT WORKING?

This is a guide to a perfectly legitimate system that works.  It involves hopping around the site and socializing, but not really in the cringey way you might think when first reading about it. I'm an ambivert myself and often can't bear to socialize, that's why I'm a writer and write about other people's amazing lives. But if you want to get the reads you dream about, this will definitely help you, and you can adjust or modify it to your own style and needs, and willingness to be a social butterfly. 

I learned the system from a handful of writers who had really big books here in the twenty-teens, bigger than any you see today. They were nice enough to share points with me. Believe me, there were others who teased and tempted but wanted payment (of sorts) in order to learn about it. So I thought it was all a come-on for the longest time. Till those others started sharing. So give it a go, eh? It works for most people who give it a serious try. There are so many ways to be successful on Wattpad, and the more you know about what you can do, the better the chances. This system is only one way to really open up the site for yourself.

Also, I access Wattpad only on a PC with a big monitor  because I have a vision problem and can't stand working with small-print devices. So all the instructions I give are for the website. If you use Wattpad on your phone or other small devices, you will have to translate how to do it on them. I don't know because I don't use them.

Perhaps you are a Gen Y working girl or a young newlywed, and you've been burning the candle at both ends for months now, every night hacking out that dark New Adult thriller of yours trendily named after one of the more popular prepositions, or with the words 'gothic', 'bad boy', or 'billionaire' somewhere in the title. And you know, and New Adult readers know, millions of them, and savvy publishers too, that if she just loves dude hard enough, deep enough, crazy enough ... he'll change. Eventually. And all will be well. There will be a Happy Ever After. And you ... yes you ... will be called the next 'literary genius of your generation', or something significantly wonderful like that. Yes, it'll all work out. You'll have thousands and thousands of fans to prove it as soon as your book is discovered. No way can you go wrong on Wattpad. So many others have been so successful before you even got here.

Or perhaps you are a working mother, raising kids, schlepping them off to school and day care in the morning, working all day and then working more at home afterward, like a slave, until they are finally all abed. And then you can finally get on Wattpad and write, write, write your brains out about those young teen characters of yours who go to that eerie old school for witchcraft, or the ones who go adventuring through the strange fantasy lands of your imagination, episode after episode following great classic literary themes that soar them to the heights of the gods of yore. And you just know that you can do it - write that tome not only to equal Harry and his buds, but to surpass it. You'll have a legion of world-wide fans as soon as your book starts getting noticed and the votes and comments start storming in.
